You walked your way inside your sister’s chambers, gently closing the door before locking it.

Taking in a deep breath you turned to look at her. “I think the King knows.”

She looked at you with wide eyes, putting down the book she was reading. “Knows about what?” she calmly asked. “Don’t tell me he knows about us,” the panic in her voice was now evident and you rolled your eyes.

“Not us you idiot,”

She chuckled. “Oh, right -- what then?”

“About me and Natalia,” you answered and she shot up. “Madame B saw us last week arguing and I think she snitched us to the King.”

Kate was shocked. “There is something going on with you and Lady Natalia?!” she questioned in full utter and your eyes darted at her.

“You didn’t know?” Your voice came out in disappointment and she shook her head absently.

“No? Was I supposed to know that?” You scoffed at her response.

“I’m your sister,” you point out and she smiled.

“Does that mean you forgive me?” She asked, her face excited.

“No.” You deadpanned and she groaned. “Didn’t Yelena tell you?” You furrowed your eyebrows at her.

She sighed. “We haven’t been talking since I accidentally slapped her,” she spoke slowly and you snorted a laugh.

“You slapped her?” You mused and she frowned. “I’m surprised you’re still alive.”

“I didn’t mean for it to happen, she was twisting me every chance that I get to charge at her,” she defended and you only smiled.

“And you thought slapping her would solve the problem?”

“It was an accident!” She exclaimed.

“Sure,” you sarcastically stated, looking at your older sister as she rolled her eyes.

“What do we do then?” She asked after a long moment of time.

“We have to trick the King.”

“Did it work?” Kate asked after ten hours of being inside the chambers of your husband.

“Tell us,” Jules stated, sounding more concerned than your sister.

You ignored the both of them as you made your way the other way around, looking for someone that you could properly talk to, it’s not that you don’t trust Kate and Jules, it’s just that you don’t think they can handle it to themselves and you didn’t want to add more to their problem.

“Wait,” Kate stopped you and you looked at her.
“Can you take Jules to Lady Melina, please?” You requested, your voice monotone as you glared at your sister to stop her from protesting and without another word from the two they left.

You went down to the Maidens Quarters secretly and making sure that no one followed you. When your eyes landed to your personal handmaiden the nerves kicked in.

“Your majesty? What are you doing down here?” She politely asked, walking her way near you and you forced out a smile.

“Can I talk to you?” You asked and she didn’t respond. “Please? Privately,” you pleaded, eyes darting to hers and so she nodded.

“Sure, come with me,” she replied and you followed her, of course almost all the servants gossiped about your sudden actions towards your handmaiden, but you ignored them as this isn’t their problem.
