“ T H E T H R O N E ”
FIVE MONTHS LATER
Why is it called Heiress, again? Oh right, she’s supposed to be the next ruler after her father died, but oh god, how did the tables turn. Look who’s sitting on the throne right now. You.
A widowed Queen who’s beauty is the fairest, who’s talented but isn’t very skilled, intelligent as many books in the world, not a literature but a learner. A Queen they say can not rule a kingdom but look at you now, ruling like no one else had been, the land prospered as it grew, the economy was lift up from the ground. All that happened in five months.
“You don’t deserve the throne, for as someone like you is a murderer,” Madame B stated who was standing in front of you.
You sighed in frustration, “Call me whatever you want, but that doesn’t change the fact that he deserved to die,” you retorted and she rolled her eyes.
You were about to walk away but Natalia interfered, eyeing you in fury, but she didn’t say anything since she was here for Madame B. “Your majesty,” you still acknowledged Natalia’s presence even though she isn’t in the speaking terms with you right now, as it seems that she despises you.
When you turned your heels on the opposite way of the hall, your head began to spin but you ignored it as you continued to walk. A minute or two later, your vision was blurry but you shrugged it off thinking that it’s only dehydration. But when you stopped short on your tracks, hearing begins to screech, shards of pain on your stomach, you knew that something was off, and before you could even pin point to what it was, you fainted.
* * *
Waking up, the world was upside down, you began to panic, heart beat picking up so fast that you couldn’t even think straight. You then closed your eyes for a mere second, taking in a deep breath before opening them once more. That’s when you realized that you were hanging upside down, your ankles tightly wrapped by a thick rope.
“Where am I?” You mumbled under your breath, eyebrows furrowing as you did.
“Did you know that Erilea is planning out a war?” A distorted voice came out of nowhere and you stopped moving, eyes looking around to whoever that came from.
“Nay,” you replied, eager to find out more. I’m at the basement. You mentally noted.
The voice huffed, “That’s right, you don’t know what you started.”
“What ever do you mean?”
“It’s not mine to tell, m’lady.” You scoffed to the response.
“You started the conversation, so don’t bullshit me.”
