She is told to dress more feminine,
He is free to pick his clothing
She is expected to be a virgin,
He isn't.
She must come home early,
He doesn't need to care
She is "weak", they say,
He is "stronger", they assume
She is seducing him,
He is acting " normal"
She is "overreacting",
He is just reacting
Her move is always "calculated" ,
His move is always wiser
For she is a woman,
And he is a man
Authors note :
I hope I didn't hurt anyone with this poem. I just wanted to bring out the fact about toxic masculinity and how woman is perceived as weak in these desperate times . We as women should be proud.
