Banshee POV
It's been an exciting night of planning. Oliver and Bruce were encouraging us to spend time together so we bond as a team. We thought it would be a great idea to show M'gann around and maybe spend some time at the beach. I can't say I dislike the idea, especially after my last encounter with Oliver and Dinah. I haven't really talked to them since I saw this girl on the lair.
'I can't come' Wally texted 'Summer class'
'No worries we can live without you' Dick texted back. The two aliens didn't have a phone yet so this was our own private, old, good group chat, Roy is in there too but he seemed to ignore us. I can't blame him, he was sort of right all along, the thing is that he should learn to accept things and move on because now we are an actual team with true missions.
'Dick means that its alright and that you can come by a bit later. The plan is to stay there all day' Kaldur made the translation we all understood before, he likes maintaining the peace.
'Want me to tag along?' I texted then, I had no problem if he would feel better if he had a friend.
'I'll survive the cruelty. Besides Chris won't be happy if you cancel again.' Wally texted reminding me of my date before the beach.
'He'll survive the cruelty too' I texted as we fought once again. Chris is so sweet but so pressuring when he is worried... and he is always worried about whether I am alright mentally. He is perfect but sometimes he isn't able to realize how an orphan can be alright and just as loved as a person with biological parents. I may not call Vic and Lennie Mommy and daddy but that doesn't mean I do not love them like my parents.
'Oh oh oh trouble in paradise?' Dick asked with happy cry emojis.
'Don't be a Dick...' I texted 'We are going through a weird phase, but we will be alright... Now sleep Wally has to wake up early and We have to rest for tomorrow. Good night 😊" I texted and left the phone on the side of the floor turning to sleep.

The next morning I woke up and dressed up to meet Chris at Central City. He has no idea I do not live there but on Starling. "Mornin' babe' He greeted as he approached and I hugged him kissing his lips softly but his kiss was intense, I followed suit and once it broke I smiled and looked at him "All good?" I asked still hugging his neck.
"Yes, I just haven't seen you in a week... I missed you Mands" He sighed and stroked my cheek tugging some firey hair behind my ear.
"I missed you too" I sighed and smiled back kissing his nose softly and rubbed his chest.
"So what do you want to do?" Chris asked me happily kissing my head as we started walking down the docks.
"Well I told you I cannot stay for long." I exhaled and turned at him, his gaze darkened as he let go of my waist as we were walking.
"Again... This has been going on for months... Mandy what's wrong?" Chris asked and paused his pacing and turned at me looking in my eyes. It wasn't concern what I saw this time but fear.
"Nothing is wrong, the internship and all has gotten in my head and then there's my sister and the grade change, she doesn't do maths and I have to be there for her." I excused myself with partly lies feeling really bad about it. What could I do? Tell him the truth?
"You are constantly with Wally. And Dick and this girl Barbara. What's wrong with them and you?" Chris asked tensely.
"Nothing they are just friends from internship... Wally from school too." I explained briefly putting on my serious face.
"Aha..." He rolled his eyes in disbelief and turned away.
"What's that supposed to mean?" I demanded, irony? Seriously? I may not tell him the truth but what I'm telling him is still partly real.
