the red reunion

It was the first day back after the encounter with Clayface, I had only recovered fully, mentally mostly and it would me my first day back on the cave. I was mostly hanging out with Wally we were pretty close, closer than before and I couldn't say I did not like it. I got ready at the Arrow safe house, Dinah was next to me she looked worried as I was fixing my boots.

"I am alright to return back, should've been back a long time ago." I smiled at her as I stood up and got my mask and fixed it on my face. I started walking to the zeta tube. I had to admit I was a bit anxious. It had been quiet sometime since I was there, close to a month. My parents were worried and so were Oliver and Dinah to a point they had me share their angst on my first day back.

Once I walked in I faced the wreckage of burnt metal and messed up screens... Then I heard the water. I ran to the opposite side hoping I wouldn't be smashed. My hand reached my utility belt to take out the inhaler as I thought of running to the apartment, Megan and Conner stayed. I got out of the small flooded corridor and coughed as firebehind me. I smashed the alarm and run faster.

I was trying to get away and during that I received a note on my phone. It was Robin's ID and it was showing his location. I was running and paused for a moment. He was at the apartment too. I needed a plan what if this was some sort of trap to get me... But then again who could hack the Robin? I ran again and this time there were no elements chasing to burn me or drown me, there were metal footsteps. Oddly familiar footsteps though unfortunate as it was I couldn't identify the origin.

I made it to the apartment and looked around. The door was locked closed and before I would stop it opened and once I was in it closed again. I looked at my phone, they were supposed to be right in front of me therefore the kitchen was empty. I heard the vent above the stove click. "You smart ass." I chuckled and dodged the stove and climbed up carefully, as I was going up the tube I saw Artemis and Robin poke their gaze at me. Soon I made it to the top as well and looked and breathed...

"What the hell?" I asked in a whisper exclamation to not attact attention.

"When I learn ill make sure to tell you." Robin sighed and I realized the seriousness of the issue.

"We crawl our way to the control room and then outside... the firealarm may inform the watchtower." He told us "Artemis on your left." He spoke and we crawled and then he said again the same.

Artemis was unusually silent. This was the first thing we had to handle on our own. As we crawled a blast of fire was shot right behind me from the crossing tube and I gasped.

"All good this is what we are trying to avoid." Robin said and looked at me over his shoulder. "First on the right, there should be a cover right in front of you." He instructed her and she nodded taking it off. We slid down the vent and landed on the control room. I have never actually been here but surprisingly it wasn't that different from the STAR labs controls. They must have been the ones to make this.

"Here" Robin spoke and we started running. Following him, however we didn't go far as with the blast of fire there was silhouette that landed in front of us, with a motion of the hand the fire spreaded all around us. I looked around and ran to the railings jumping off. I felt somewhat grateful to see the other two did the same at the exact same time. I felt a bit bad that I didn't sign them or anything. I felt as if I wasn't warmed up.

We landed on the lowest floor while the fire spread everywhere. The pressure meters were hitting red, almost breaking. "This is not good, we have to decompress the systems. Or else we wont have a chance to get out." I explained seeing the hot steam leaks from around us.

"Or else?" Artemis asked me, she was truly scared.

"Kaboom, I spoke and ran to the engines, releasing the pressure as quick as possible." I sighed, it was too warm my hands were aching from the physical contact.
