I hung up the phone on mike and went back to see max with baby Calum, when I entered the room max and Lucus where on the bed looking down at Calum. I walked over to max and Lucaus and max looked up at me
"You feeling ok" I say to her while Lucus is holding Calum
"I feel drained" she says flopping her head back in to the pillow, I sat down in the chair next to her and laughed "I never want to go through that again" max says while lifting her head "I see why you don't want to have another that was pain full"
"Yeah but it is worth all the pain tho" I say looking over at Calum
"Yeah that's true, I can't believe how small he is" she says while talking Calum out of Lucus's arms
"Yeah cherish this moment because with in a blink of an eye they grow up so fast I can't believe Jane is 2" I say while getting up to hold Calum, as soon as max puts him in my arms I sit back down in the chair I was in a hold him, I can't believe max is a mom now she has never been the mom type but she is so good with Jane so I know she is going to be amazing with Calum.
We sat in the room for a few hours just talking and holding Calum till mike and Jane entered the room it was now 7:00 is the morning and Jane came through all bouncy and wanting to see everyone
"MOMMY, MOMMY, MOMMY" she runs in shouting with mike running behind her to catch her
"Jane slow down" i say while she runs into my arms
"Sorry mommy" she says looking up at me with her big brown eyes
"It's ok you just need to be quiet there is a baby in here and people are still sleeping " say while she gets her self-comfy in my lap. Mike was now standing next to me looking over at Calum in his temporary crib that the hospital provided
"Hey Max how are you doing" he says while walking up to Lucus who was sitting next to max in the chair on the other side of the bed
"Good thank you just really needing some sleep" she says while looking at mike
"I'm sorry max we will be leaving in a few minuets" i say while bouncing Jane up and down on my lap
"It's ok don't worry I'm sure I will get a bit of sleep" she says while she rests her head on the pillow. Me and mike just laugh "What so funny" she says looking at us
"Well max baby's don't really sleep for hours like us they will be up most of the night which means you will be up as well" I say to her
"We that's why I have Lucas" she says looking over at him, he just laughed nervously
"Umm, yeah sure I will uh get up and look after him" he says sheepishly
"Well you got me into this you are going to help" she says "do you want to hold him mike" Max says changing the subject looking at mike who was looking at Calum
"Um yeah if that's ok with you guys" he says
"Yeah go ahead" Max's says and with that mike goes over to pick up Calum. Lucus moves over to give mike a seat, once mike sits down I walk over with Jane quietly so Jane can meet him
"Look Jane this is you cousin" I say to her while I place her on my hip while she is looking down at him
"He's pretty" Jane says looking down at him "can I hold him she says
"No sweet you are to small just now maybe soon tho" I say to her while pulling her back from mike "well be better be off and let you get some sleep you are going to need it" i say while mike put Calum back in his crib
