House hunt

El's pov

it was 6 months after graduation and me and Mike where still looking for a place to live. Mike is going to go to college to study science and i'm just going to stick at my job to make money to pay for rent. 

i looked beside me to see if Mike was up yet, he wasn't. i lay in bed for a while think about my life and how much it has changed in the last few years i have been back. about what feels like 20 minuets later Mike starts to stir and wake up. "morning" i say smiling at him, he just smiles and looks at his alarm clock 9:32am it read. "you going to get up soon because we need to go apartment looking" 

"Yeah, give me 5 minuets to wake up first though" he says while closing his eye, i know what that means he is going to go back to sleep and not wake up for like another 2 hours. i decide to get the pillow be hind my head and hit him with it "god eleven!! what was that for" he say in an sorta angry tone while rubbing his eyes.

"sorry, but you where just going to go back to sleep and we need to get ready, it was your idea to get our own place so we have so privacy" i say while getting up and making my side of the bed "now you start getting up while i have a shower and get ready" i grab my cloths and walk out of the room to the bathroom across the hall.

Mikes pov 

once El had left the room i started getting up i went over to my chest of draws pulling out cloths for the day. i went into my sock draw and went right to the back where i was keeping a little secret from eleven, i pulled out the little black felt box i open it to find the engagement ring i am going to give El when the time is right. i have had the ring for a few months now i want to give it to her when the timing is right, i was going to do it on her birthday last month but i didn't think the timing was right so i didn't bother. when i heard the bedroom door open i quickly hid it again making sure the person who was walking in never saw it. "Hey mom" i say nervously

"Michael...what you hiding" my mom knows me to well, she knows when i am hiding stuff from her but i didn't want to tell her i was planing on getting engaged just now because i know there will be a lecturer coming if i told her

"Nothing just a present for El" i say while cleaning up my room 

"Ok just to let you know that i am going to need you or El to babysit holly for me while i'm gone"

"but mom we where going to go apartment hunting today" 

"Well take holly with you she will be no bother" 

"Ugh fine, what ever" i say while trying to get ready as she walks out the room

About 5 minuets later eleven walks in all dressed and with makeup on "Hey we are looking after holly today so we are going to have to bring her apartment looking with us, is that ok" she just nodes her head 

a few hours later 

"So this one has an amazing vew of Hawkins, its two bedroom , right in the center , parking is easy, quiet most of the time. perfect for students such as your self" the estate agent says to us as we walk up the stairs to the door. once she has opened the door we walk in and its amazing, big windows in the living room, white walls, wooden flooring, fire place. the kitchen/ dining room  was really big and looked new, there was 2 bedrooms one big one and a smallish one. we thought that we could convert the small bed room into a guest room or and study room for Mike one of the two. after we looked around we went to ask for the price and it was a bit more than we could afford. once we where in the car eleven look a it down i was worried about her "hey you ok"
