Graduation

Today is the day that me, eleven and the boys graduate from high school, It feels like the years have gone so quickly since el has been back. when we managed to save el from the up side down i finally got the courage to ask her out, she was a bit confused by what it meant  but once explained what it meant she agreed to it, and since then we have been together. 

i was snapped out of my thoughts when i heard my mum shout my name telling me to come down stairs for a photo. when i reach the bottom of the stairs i see Dustin,Lucas and will all dressed in there robes talking to each other. "Hey guys." i say going to join them in a conversation 

"Hey mike, where is el." Lucas says. i look around the room expecting to see her but there is no sign of her, she's probably still in her room getting ready.

"I'll be right back, I'm going to try and find her quickly." i say before blotting off up the stairs. i stopped out side her room and knocked on her door waiting for an answer.

"Come in." i hear her say faintly, so i walk in to find her sitting on her bed looking upset, i was quickly at her side giving her a hug. i felt awkward because i never know what to say in a situation like this, but i had to say something because my mum would come up stairs any minuet rushing us out the door to be on time to see us graduate.

"hey el, you ok." i say gently to her not wanting her to feel scared or pressured. she finally looks up at me with sad eyes and all i could do was holder her tighter and kiss her forehead. "So do you want to tell me whats wrong." i say looking down in to her eyes, she just nodes and i wait for her to speak

"I'm scared"

"what off?, come on we graduate, we are free to do what we want." i say trying to make it sound like it is the best thing ever. i know it is but i want her to think its a good thing and not something to be scared of.

"i know but what if i get taking back to up side down again i don't want to lose you again."

"el" i say softly, lifting her head up to look at me. "I promise you nothing is going to take you away from me, because i love you more than anything and i will protect you no matter what." i say while leaning in to kiss her, she kisses me back till i we hear a knock at the door and someone shouting us to get going. I stand up taking el's hand and walking down to the car with her.

after graduation 

el's pov

we where all at a dinner for diner to celebrate us leaving school, i was sitting next to mike just enjoying myself listing to him speaking to the boys about some science stuff i didn't quite get. mike really helped me earlyer by telling me nothing is going to hurt me or take me away, i really should listen to him because  Hawkens lab was shut down and I've not seen anything to do with the up side down for a few years now but there still is a chance it could come back. i was snapped out of my thoughts when i felt someone nudge me, i look up into mikes loving brown eyes and wait for him to speak to me.

"do you want to get going ,we could take a walk around the lake if you want."

"Yeah i would love that." i say while sliding out of the seat waiting for mike to stand up as well "Bye boys, see you's later." 

"bye el, bye mike see you's soon." will says before turning back to the others to have a new conversation 

i walk out side and let the warm summer night air hit me while walking to the car. we drive for about 10 minuets in silents just enjoying each other company. when we parked mike jumped out of the car first and walked round to my side and opened the door to let me out. we walked around for a while just talking about anything that comes to mind till mike pulled me down to sit on the grass with him and watched the stars appear in the sky it was beautiful, we sat in silents till mike spoke "hey el" 

"yeah" i say while turning to face him 

"I was thinking, we've been together for a long time now and we are old enough to... you know get an apartment together. we have the money from our jobs to get one. so what do you say." i just look at him trying to contenplate what he just said, he stated speaking again before i had a chance to answer him "I mean we don't have to if you don't want to it was just and idea." he say while looking down saddly 

"Mike you never gave me a chance to answer you." i say making him look back up at me "But i think it's a good idea." and before it knew it he was kissing me. when we pulled away he looked so happy and i was happy because he was. we stayed at at lake for a while till it was getting to dark to see anymore so we headed back to the car and drove back to his house.  once we where back home we headed inside to find that everyone was asleep so i sneaked up to mikes room with him and stayed with him that night and i never wanted to wake up.

This is my first ever story so ik it probably not going to be that good. btw there may be some spelling mistakes so I'm sorry i will try and fix them and hopefully if you liked this story i will update as soon as i can :) xx
