Summary; Zagreus and Thanatos try to see who can get you the best gift.

Zagreus had always tried his best to see the fun side of things, even if said things were stupid. He'd joke around with Achilles and occasionally mess around with Cerberus, whenever he'd come back from the pool of styx.

This side of Zagreus also caused some stupid things, such as him starting a small yet harmless bet with Thanatos, it was about who could get you the best gift in the underworld.

Thanatos seemed to take this a little too seriously, since the first thing he did was go to his mother- Nyx for advice before buying something.

As for Zagreus, he went to see of the Wretched broker had any nectar. If that didn't work, then he'd go and ask one of the gods.

" My dear child, what is the reason, you came to me ? " Nyx questioned as Thanatos inhaled deeply. " Mother- I need your help. For, I am to get a gift for (Y/N). "

" Hmm, I see. The best idea I have is to see Charon. Your brother always seems to have nice things. " She explained.

Thanatos nods. " Thank you, Mother. " He said before exiting the house of hades.

" Maybe, I can give (Y/N) Cerberus. " Zagreus spoke to himself " No, they already like Cerberus. Maybe Aphrodite knows what to- " quickly cutting himself off at the thought.

" Maybe Artemis can help. " He smiled weakly before dashing to the last place he had seen the Goddess.

" What do you mean ? I have to pay this much. " Thanatos asked while glancing at his older brother.

" Gguhh " Said Charon.

" I'm your brother! I should have some sort of discount. " The incarnation of death replied.

" Heughhh " was all Charon said.

" Fine, I'll buy something. " He murmured while picking something out. He then handed his brother the amount of money he owned.

" A gift ? For, (Y/N) ? " Artemis asked as she looked at Zagreus, slightly confused at what the prince needed.

" Yes. You see, I made a bet with Thanatos- " He started but was cut off. " that says enough, but I should have something. " She interrupted.

The Goddess then started rummaging through a small bag, as she picked out a small yet somewhat adorable bird. " Here you go. " she carefully handed the animal to the prince before disappearing back to Olympus.

Confused, Zagreus held the bird. "....Okay then. " the bird chirped before flapping its wings in excitement. " Let's go find, (Y/N). "

You smiled weakly as you continued to listen to Dusa's story about Cerberus chewing on apart of the kitchen.

" That's crazy, and you'd think that Lord Hades would do something. " You replied. " Yeah, I ended up fixing most of it. " Dusa said, nervously.

" (Y/N), can we speak to you. " Zagreus spoke up as you turned your attention to him- and Thanatos. " Sure! Dusa, I'll talk to you after. " You said.

" Okay! " Dusa replied as she quickly left.

" So, what did you two need ? "

" Zagreus has this idea, to buy you the ' best gift ' " Thanatos explained causing Zagreus to chuckle nervously.

" Okay. " you said, a little curious to see how this would end.

" So! Here are our gifts, for you. " Zagreus said as he held out the bird. " I'm not too sure what it is, but I hope you like it. " He added on with a small smile.

The bird chirped again before tilting its head to the side. Smiling softly, you carefully pet the bird. " It's cute. " You said.

Thanatos hummed softly before handing you a small box. Turning your attention to box that was now resting on your lap.

Still curious, you went to open it, only to show a small bottle of nectar.

" I was hoping if we could share it sometime- of course, when I'm not busy. " Thanatos spoke.

Smiling widely, you placed the box onto the table before sitting up and pulling the both of them into a tight hug. " Thank you both! "
