You looked at me and proceeded to say
"I know this is wrong, but I want you to stay".
And I know she's at home,
yes I know she will wait,
until you have got home, protected and safe.
And even though I want to,
stay out of your way,
forget and move on,
just leave you and rest.
We both know that I can't,
give you up and pretend,
I don't notice these feelings,
I don't feel this way.
So, what is the key to solving this case?
Just go on and tell her about our illicit affair?
It doesn't feel right, you know it doesn't feel fair,
to let her despise all the love that you had,
before you fell in love with this beautiful mess.
