"So... just to make sure I'm clear... you're going on a spring break trip with another couple and Spencer? Like a double date vacation?"
Olivia rolled her eyes at Jade's question.
"No." "Basically, yeah." Liv and Bri answered at the same time.
Liv glared at Bri at her agreement with Jade. Bri, naturally, was not even a little phased.
"Oh don't look at me like that, I now firmly believe that man is in love with you." Bri had been pushing this theory since the shooting.
"The math for how you got to that conclusion is questionable," Liv shoved some fries in her mouth.
"Is it though? Cause if a man, especially one that looks like that, took a bullet for me, I would be walking round here in a wedding dress. Bouquet in hand. Ready at a moment's notice," Kiana added.
The table snickered. Olivia sobered and shook her head, smiling, "No, I really believe he would do it for anyone. That's... who he is."
"What was his reaction to this trip?"
Liv shrugged at Jade's question. "He just... said it was whatever I wanted," her voice dropped into a mumble as she said the last part looking at the table.
"Bitch!" Kiana slapped her palm against the table. "I think we need to get you a wedding dress to take on this trip."
Olivia groaned and threw her head back. A girl walked slowly past their table, capturing the group's attention. "Hey, Bri," she smiled widely. Bri smiled and waved but said nothing. The group sat in silence until the girl was out of earshot.
Liv's head immediately snapped to Bri. "Something you want to share?"
"Nope," Bri suddenly wouldn't look up from her lunch. Liv squinted, "wasn't that the girl who dropped by our room a couple days ago?"
Bri glanced up guiltily. "Explain," Kiana demanded.
After hesitating, Bri caved. "Okay, we're hooking up!"
There was a moment of silence and then the girls talked over each other excitedly. Before any of them could form a coherent interrogation question, Bri jumped in again, "and that's all I'll be saying about that for now, soooo toodles! See you guys later!" She hurried away from the table with a plastered smile and a wave.
Olivia stared after her. "Did she just literally run away from questions?"
"Thankfully, we know where she lives," Jade sipped her tea while Kiana snorted.

"Shoulda known you'd be up," a voice spoke behind Olivia in the Wednesday night darkness of the Baker kitchen. Her head snapped around to find a shirtless Spencer sauntering towards her. She fought hard not to stare at him and gave a smile. "What are you doing up?"
"Came to get some water."
Liv wordlessly got up to pour him a glass. "You ain't have to do that, Liv." She waved her hand to dismiss him, then handed him the glass and sat back down with her ice cream. They had decided to go to Scottsdale for only the second half of spring break. Their flight left in the morning so Simone and Spencer were staying the night and her dad had agreed to drop them off.
"You excited for our trip?"
Spencer nodded, "yeah, are you?"
"Yeah," she shrugged with a smile.
"That ain't sound super convincing. What, we bore you?"
Liv rolled her eyes at his teasing question. "No! Well... maybe you," she teased in return. He looked away with a chuckle and then quickly stole her spoon from her hand and scooped out some ice cream.
