Íosác Mac Bréifneach was the son of Biniáimin Mac Bréifneach and Mary Harrison. Íosác married Hannah Hughes, with whom he had twelve children, two of whom were the would-be kings of Ireland, Seán VI and my ancestor Seosamh I.

Hannah Hughes was the daughter of John Owen Hughes II son of John Owen Hughes son of Rowland Hughes son of Rowland Hughes son of The Hon. John Hughes son of Humphrey, 13th Baron of Kymmer-yn-Edeyrnion and therefore rightful King of Powys. Humphrey was the son of Baron Richard son of Baron Huw ap William son of Baron William son of Baron Gruffydd Fychan son of Baron Dafydd son of Baron Rhys son of Baron Ieuan son of Baron Llywelyn Ddu son of Baron Dafydd son of Gruffydd ab Iorwerth, 1st Baron of Kymmer-yn-Edeyrnion, son of Prince Owain Brogyntyn, Lord of Edeyrnion, son of Madog ap Maredudd, last King of Powys (died 1160).

John's mother and Humphrey's wife was Catherine Wynn, daughter of Sir John Wynn, rightful King of Gwynedd. Sir John was the son of Maurice son of John Gwynedd son of Maredudd son of Ifan son of Robert son of Maredudd son of Ieuan/Ifan son of Maredudd son of Hywell son of Dafydd son of Gruffudd son of Caradog son of Prince Tomas son of Prince Rhodri Pendragon son of Owain Fawr, also known as Owain Gwynedd, Prince of Wales and King of All Wales (1087-1170).

Tomas ap Rhodri's mother was Princess Gwenllian of Deheubarth daughter of Rhys ap Gruffydd, King of the Britons (1132-1197).

Rowland Hughes II was the son of Mary Lewis daughter of Ann Owen daughter of Sir Hugh Owen, 1st Bt., son of Lady Dorothy Laugharne daughter of Maj. Gen. Rowland Laugharne son of Lady Frances Stuart daughter of Matthew Stewart, 4th Earl of Lennox (1516-1571), and Lady Margaret Douglas daughter of Archibald Douglas, 6th Earl of Angus (1489-1557), and his wife Princess Margaret Tudor, daughter of King Henry VII of England (1457-1509) and Princess Elizabeth of York (1466-1503).

John Owen Hughes II was the son of Mary Griffith, supposed aunt of Sir Richard John Griffith, 1st Bt. (1784-1878).

Seosamh Mac Bréifneach, the would-be King Seosamh I of Ireland, married Harriet Brown and had ten children, including the would-be kings Próinséas I, Leaid I, and Seosamh II. Harriet was the daughter of Franklin son of Silas son of Jeremiah son of Unight Brown(e) son of Denis Browne the supposed younger brother of John Browne, 1st Earl of Altamont (1709-1776).

John and Denis were the sons of Peter Browne son of Col. Richard's wife by whom he had the 1st Marquess of Montagu was Lady Alice de Montagu daughter of Thomas Montagu, 4th Earl of Salisbury, and his wife Lady Eleanor Holland daughter of Thomas Holland II, 2nd Earl of Kent, son of Princess Joan of England daughter of Prince Edmund of Woodstock, 1st Earl of Kent (1301-1330) son of King Edward I "Longshanks" of England (1239-1307) and his wife Princess Margaret of France (1279-1318) daughter of King Philippe III of France.

Lady Eleanor Holland was also the daughter of Lady Alice FitzAlan daughter of Richard FitzAlan, 3rd Earl of Arundel, and his wife Lady Eleanor Plantagenet daughter of Prince Henry, 2nd Duke of Lancaster, son of Prince Edmund Crouchback, 1st Duke of Lancaster (1245-1296) son of King Henry III of England (1207-1272).

The 1st Viscount Montagu's mother was Lady Alice Gage daughter of Sir John Gage, K.G. (1479-1556). 1st Viscount Montagu's wife was Lady Jane Radcliffe daughter of Robert Radcliffe son of John Radcliffe, 9th Baron FitzWalter, and his wife Margaret, Baroness of Whetehill. Lady Jane's mother was Princess Margaret of the Isle of Man (1499-1534) daughter of King/Lord Thomas III of Mann son of Prince George Stanley son of King Thomas II of the Isle of Man and his wife Lady Eleanor Neville daughter of the 5th Earl of Salisbury and his wife Alice of Montagu.

Peter Browne was the son of Col. John Browne and his wife Lady Maud Bourke daughter of Theobald Bourke, 3rd Viscount Mayo, son of Miles Bourke, 2nd Viscount Mayo, son of Tiobóid ne Long Burke, 1st Viscount Mayo, son of Risdeárd Burke, 18th Lord Macwilliam Iochtar (died 1583), and his wife Gráinne Ní Mháille, also known as Grace O'Malley, famous businesswoman, Queen of Umhaill, and pirate (1530-1603). The 2nd Viscount Mayo's mother was Lady Maeve O'Connor Sligo daughter of Sir Domhnall Ua Conchobair Sligach, last Gaelic Lord of Sligo, and his wife Princess Mór Ní Ruairc daughter of Brian ballach mór Ó Ruairc, King of [West] Bréifne.

John and Denis Browne were the sons of Mary Daly daughter of Denis son of James O'Daly son of Tadhg son of John, also called Seán Ó Dálaigh, son of Dalach Ó Dálaigh. Mary's mother was Mary Power daughter of Thomas Power (1638-1690) and his wife Dorothy Annesley daughter of Sir Arthur Annesley, 1st Earl of Anglesey, 2nd Viscount Valentia (1614-1686), and his wife Lady Elizabeth Altham daughter of Sir James Altham of Oxhey, Kt. (1594-1623).

Seosamh I and Harriet had a son, Seosamh Biniáimin Mac Bréifneach (the would-be King Seosamh II of Ireland). Seosamh Óg married twice, the first time was to Dora-Althea de Castilloux (1899-1919). By her he had Fionnladh Aralt Mac Bréifneach (1919-2014). Dora-Althea was the daughter of François who, as far as I can tell, was the heir to the title Seigneur de Saint-Julien-de-Cassagnas, but we shall get to that. François was the son of Romain-Ambroise son of André son of Jean son of Jean son of Guillem de Castillon son of Georges de Castillon de Saint-Victor son of Antoine-Hercule de Castillon de Saint-Victor, Seigneur de Saint-Julien-de-Cassagnas.

Dora-Althea's mother was Marie-Virginie Flore Laiselle daughter of Simeon Loisel/Loiselle son of Siméon Loisel son of André son of Robert Loisel (1759-1840) supposed descendant of Antoine Loysel, Seigneur of Courroy, Fouilloy and Églantier (1536-1617).

Fionnladh Aralt Mac Bréifneach, the would-be King Fionnladh of Ireland, was the husband of Máire Próinsín Ní Dhubhagáin, and by her he had two children, the would-be King Dáibhid of Ireland (born 1945) and Princess Sinéad (born 1954). Máire was the daughter of Dónall Óg Cléireach Ó Dubhagáin, The O'Dugan, Chief of the Name, and rightful Gaelic Lord of Ballydoogan. Dónall Óg was the son of Dónall, who was either the son of Conn or Tadhg, but Tadhg was the son of Conn so either way it is the same line. Conn was the son of Pádraig son of Ruaidhrí Uilliam Ó Dubhagáin son of Ruaidhrí Óg son of Ruaidhrí "Hodge" son of Donncha Óg son of Donncha, last Lord of Ballydoogan (born 1671).

Máire's mother was Mína Ní Mhainníon daughter of Uilliam Ó Mainníon son of Dáibhid son of Tómás, The O'Manning, Chief of the Name, rightful King of Soghain, son of Brian son of Pádraig, son of Mícheál son of Seán son of Tadhg son of Pádraig son of Brian brother of Seán Ó Mainníon, last King of Soghain (1585-1648).

Tadhg Ó Mainníon's mother was Mary Joyce daughter of Ulick Joyce, Chief of the Name (died 1687), son of Ulick Joyce, last Lord of Joyce Country (died 1665). Mína's mother was Amanda A. Mace daughter of Jane H. Oldfield daughter of Robert son of John son of Isabella Veitch daughter of Ann Scott illegitimate daughter of the 2nd Duke of Buccleuch (1695-1751).
