A Stupid Wish (Hazel's life in Hydra)

Preparation for Freedom

(Few hours before Project Insight)

Hazel walked to her cabin with the Project Insight file, Pierce gave it to her to add names of people who she knows were going to be threat to Hydra, she opened the door to find Pierce and Brock, he had bruises on his face.

"You are late!" Pierce said.

"The list was huge" Hazel explained and gave the file to Pierce.

"Maria and Monica Rambeau....Jemma Simmons.....Leo Fitz......James Woo.....Hank Pym....Hope Pym....Sam Wilson..seems like the list is very long, Sam Wilson, the one who joins the Avengers?" Pierce asked as he read the list.

"Sir, your Marvel knowledge is getting better day by day." Hazel faked smile.

"I will personally give this for the update." Pierce said "Very good, Asset!"

"So, why are you here? You got no time for me and Rio, you remember, I had to take him out for his birthday few months ago" Hazel said as Pierce left.

"The project is near, what do you expect from me? I have thought to send Rio to his grandma's" Brock tried to explain.

"Good." she said, she didn't had anything to say, she desperately wanted to know about the change in his behaviour "Are you going to-you know-just stare at me?"

"I wanted to show you something."

"Go ahead."

He removed his combat vest, his black turtle neck, he was in his tank top and his gloves, he took a deep breath and removed his gloves, Hazel looked at his hands in shock, his veins were black "Hazel, I-"

"No! You didn't! Tell me you didn't!"

"You know that?"

"I have read some files. They were experimenting on you and your team?"

"Yes but I didn't had a choice. My friend died in the process. They gave us some durability serum thing, next year, they will inject something to kill all pain, end it, so that we can not feel any pain."

"How could you allow them to do that? Did you once thought of us? Rio? Me?"

"I did, not just once but this can help us protect Rio, you know that you can't die easily, same thing for me now and once the project is over, Hydra's secret will obviously be out and SHIELD will fall. We will leave this place and go somewhere, where ever you want, trust me!" he said and kissed Hazel's head as she rest her head on his chest.

"I don't know why I am saying this...Fine! We will but if anything goes bad, if I lose you or Rio, it will be your fault. I will blame you" Hazel said, "Don't ever betray me, Brock! You're the only person I trust."

She thought to leave Hydra after its downfall. She planned to help Captain, but what about Rio, she couldn't leave him, now that he was like a son to her but she wanted her freedom too.

"Call in the asset!" Rumlow said.

"The Winter Soldier or The Darkness?" asked the lady.

"Both!" he said.

"Get ready, you have a mission in 3 hours" John said as he entered Hazel's cabin only to find her watching Agents of SHIELD. "Is that Sitwell?"

"Yep, he will die in 3 hours" Hazel said.

"For real or in this episode?" asked John.

"For real, of course. You haven't seen the film- yeah, you haven't." she sighed "Now go, I'll gear up."

"Knock! Knock! Mr. Sitwel!" Hazel knocked on the car window, there Sitwel was sitting with Agent Romanoff while Captain was sitting in the in front as Sam Wilson drove the car. "Your subscribtion of life has been cancelled because of your betrayal, say something to continue the process."

"Huh?" Sitwel looked at her horror.

"Have a safe flight!" she said as she punched the glass, grabbed him and threw him on the other side of road "Poor man! I warned him yesterday about this." she sighed "Let's get back to work!"

The car stopped, causing Hazel lose her grip but she saw that coming and landed gracefully. The Winter Soldier and some other Hydra agents shot the quartet as they were running.

Hazel sighed and continued with her mission.
