A Stupid Wish (Hazel's life in Hydra)

Can we have MC Donald's?

"Rio! Rio! Where are you?" Hazel sung as she opened the door.

"Dad isn't home" Rio said.

"Your name is Rio not your dad's, I am here for you"

"For me?"

"Isn't today your birthday?" Hazel pointed to the cake and the gift in her hands "Cause if your birthday isn't today, my money is wasted but I will eat the cake"

"You remember? Dad doesn't even remember my birthday, he didn't care to wish me, he left without even saying bye to me" Rio said.

"Your father, he is a busy man. He may forgot to wish you on your birthday but lemme tell you, darling, he told me to buy you this" she gave him a box.

"What is in it?" he asked.

"Open it, silly" she chuckled.

Rio opened the box to find the thing he wanted for so long "I have always wanted these, you know, how much I love One Direction!"

"Your father told me you love the band, I love the band too, I listen to them everyday. So, he bought you these, One Direction merches" she smiled "Who is going to cut the cake? I have specially made this for you"

"Is that?"

"Yep"

"I have always wanted a Larry cake!" Rio cheered.

They cut the cake and ate some, Rio kept some cake in the fridge for his dad and went to enjoy his birthday with Hazel.

"Can we have Mc Donald's?" Rio politely asked.

"Yes, you can, sugar but I thought to take you to a restaurant, you want Mc Donald's or want to go the restaurant?" Hazel said as she drove.

"I don't know, I prefer McDonald's, I like chicken nuggets and about restaurants, I think you should go there with Dad" he grinned.

"Rio!" she sighed and smiled "Why are you saying this again and again?"

"You know that, Ms. Edwards, I even have our future plans, we can go to Greece, Dad said you like Greece, we can even go to Vegas, you can enjoy there while I am with my friends-"

"Rio, you just turned ten!"

"I want my friends to meet my mom"

"Children these days" she sighed.

"What is your order, ma'am?" asked the lady at the drive-thru.

"Rio, go ahead" Hazel said, he ordered his food as she went through her phone 'Not another mission, please! -Aah, now, I have to do the paperwork, Project Insight, Great!'

"Here is your order! Sorry the Ice-cream machine is broken, can I get you something else?" asked the lady.

"Well, I am gonna need some coffee, a black coffee, please" Hazel said and held her head.

"This is the best birthday ever!" Rio said as Hazel opened the door to find Brock.

"You took Rio out?" He asked.

"I did like you said, for my friend. Right, Rio?" she said as she secretly pointed to Rio.

"Dad, she is the best! Oh! How can I forgot about you! Thanks for buying me 1D merches, I always wanted them, I left some cake for you" Rio said and went to his room.

"What is he talking about?" Brock asked.

"So, you really don't remember" Hazel sighed.

"Remember what, Hazel?"

"Rio's birthday" she whispered.

"Shit! I was focusing on my mission that I forgot his birthday, what did you do? You didn't told him that, right?"

"Chill! I took him out, we went to Mc Donald's, I bought him 1D merches and ordered a cake, well, I was at the bakery telling them the details like to add exactly 28 silver balls, draw an 'X' on Simon- Rio enjoyed a lot! He first complaint about you not remembering his birthday and doing 'work' then I told him you love him and that you are a busy man and yeah, he told me he loves you a lot-" Hazel was interrupted by a peck.

"Thanks a lot, Haz! You are the best!" he said.

"I-I know that, just warn me before you do anything, I flinch easily"

They both hugged each other but once again a strange feeling struck Hazel, she didn't talk to Brock for months after the incident.
