The Half Vampire

Part 15 : Progress.

(( Guys imma give a lot of info you didn't know about before so just go with it))


My mind was going 200km/h but, I had little to no time for preparing a speech. 

Fish: Girl relax, 

Duckie: Mhm deep breath.  Both said this in a way to calm me 

Ana: How am I supposed to be calm, In one month my life changed, AGAIN!

I paced around the jail cell covered in dirt and the smell of rotten food. The cell had a small window but was barricaded too, We hadn't seen the sun in a while. We being me and Casper.

Nightmare entered the jail room, which was another layer of security before the cells. She had a piece of paper and was walking behind the queen.

Queen: Ana you need to make a remarkable speech, The people of the village already have the wrong impression of you and you must at all costs repair it. Even if it takes to insult your father.

Ana: But mother, If  I do so I may be thrown in the guarded main cell. Then there won't be any hope left for the plan you had created.

Duckie: Nope, I read a book on your village and it said the punishment that requires the person who is guilty to be thrown in the main cell, requires the approval of the Queen and the majority vote from the people.

Queen: I like her, And yes that is true. Of course, I can only help with my part and for the reason, I had informed you that you need to make a remarkable speech to the public. 

Ana: I will try my best.

Fish: Please tell me you aren't wearin' that.

Ana: Ah- I did not realize the condition of my clothes...

Duckie: Make over time? he said with practically stars in his eyes.

Casper: help me.

Duckie and Fish got me and Casper dressed. I wore a black dress with red lace on the back with my hair in a bun and a tiara while Casper wore a black tuxedo with a red tie. We both made our way to the king's court. There I sat on what used to be my thrown and Casper sat beside me. The court was filled with Red banners symbolizing my father's power. Wise men from the village and people from the council in the kingdom were sitting in the front row and respected personalities from the village behind them. There were cameras for as far the eye could see for the audience who wasn't in the castle rather than attending from the village from NEWS or the theater that was displaying the event. The event was basically for telling the people what I had done and told them what he had done. It is for the people to decide if I am worthy of taking the thrown.
 

The King: This... who I am ASHAMED to call my daughter. She had ran away from the Kingdom when it was her job to be the next ruler. She ran away to a small village and became a craftsmen. She now returns and calls MY KINGDOM as HER KINGDOM. She made her sister also believe that we were controlling parents and made her run away. When she had nothing to do for the growth of the kingdom. Now I would allow her to speak in her defense.

They ARE controlling parents and I had no idea My sister ran away... I hope she is fake. At this point, all the eyes were on me. waiting for my response. My heartbeat quickened and all the possibilities of how I could fail started rushing in my mind. The Casper put his hand on my shoulder and gave me a comforting smile, I knew I had to do this, not just for me but for the kingdom. I took a deep breath. There was no turning back.

Ana: I would like to start by saying, The things you have done to the kingdom without the people's knowledge is way worse than me trying to live a normal life ..."Father".  The people of Akai. Me Princess Ana Elizabeth the second (hah look at the fancy name) wants to firstly apologize for my actions. I was young and Naïve, agreed that doesn't allow me or permit me to run away from my responsibilities and from what is right. I will try my hardest to make it up to you. Now for the things I mentioned before about the "way worse things"...

The king: ANA! That happens to be a family secret you DO NOT have the permission to disclose that to the public. 

Ana: With all your respect my king, You threatened to disown me when we were in private and I am sure the judges and the people are interested in what I have to say.

Judge: If it includes legal matters and not private life. We must hear it, princess.

Ana: Well of course sir. My father. The greatest Vampire to rule the world has been attacking the other magical lands. 

I could hear the shock when people heard what I said and saw the anger in the eyes of the king who I won't be calling my father anymore. 

Judge: But we have no reports from the soldiers or their families.

Ana: Exactly sir. That brings me to my next point. The "King" threatened his  OWN SOLDIERS to not tell anyone or the punishment would be severe. 

The king: I- N-no, This is simply not true. If you say further you would be thrown in prison.

Ana: I was already thrown in prison for saying I had a part in the kingdom, Is freedom of speech not legal here anymore?

Judge: I am afraid you can't do that, your majesty. You can not throw her in prison for speaking in a speech you scheduled. 

The king looked angrily at me and clenched his fists. The crowd was whispering and was still shocked by the news I had told them. I was gaining confidence by the moment and a cold breeze hit my face, I felt relaxed but determined to take my kingdom and take care of my people.
