Explaining what powers I have was hard enough given that I don't know exactly what or how much I can do. But explaining the why was way harder.

It's like getting in a car crash. You're going down the street and when you turn into another road you suddenly can't stop and you crash and hit a tree.

Telling the cops that you weren't speeding, drunk, or under any influence is easy if it's true. You shouldn't t have to worry about that because you know you were sober and aware of your surroundings.

But explain why the car crashed is harder. You tell them the story of what happened and they can either do one of 2 things;

Not believe you or blame it on the car.

Most of the cases these days it's our fault something like this happened. It was our fault we weren't paying attention to the road or it's our fault that we didn't pay attention to the car and get it checked out more.

I say it's the trees fault for being there in the first place. In my situation anyway. If the tree never grew, the car would of just stopped on the grass by traction. Hence, if my parents never came up with the crazy idea to turn their daughter into a walking AI then I wouldnt of had these powers. I would of lived a normal life, I'd like to think.

"Why didn't you tell us before?" Nat sat across from me in the conference room. All eyes were on me as this was the question they were all thinking from the start.

"I don't remember why I never did. I was advised not to tell anyone when I woke up without my memories."

"By who?" She asked. I hesitated and looked around to find my dad. He eyes me again and gave me a look to tell everyone.

"Allessandra." I sqeeked out quietly. They all just looked confused thinking of who she could be.

"I think you need to be a little more specific on what your talking about." My dad added. I sighed running my hands threw my hair.

"Ok ok. Fine." I sat up in my chair not knowing where to start. "I don't really know how much you guys know."

"I know you're birth parents gave you up when you were young." Sam talked and I nodded.

"They did once they found no use for me." That silenced the room completely. It was like they were all holding their breath waiting for more. I looked down at my hands folded into my lap remembering the dreams I've had and what Allessandra told me. "They were both scientists. My father was a geneticist who studied on me, himself, and my mother to find the perfect genes to input an AI system into a living body. Which is where my mother comes in. That was her life goal. From when I was born they studied me and they succeed when I was 4."

"My god Kat that's horrible." I heard Nats voice but I never looked up.

"They planted an AI fully and compatability into my system. Apparently I was the only child that had survived."

"How many others were there?"

I just shrugged. I never want to know how many kids lives they have ruined.

"After they succeed, my mother found a new goal in life. Only God knows what it is but she left me and my father when I was almost 5. Apparently my father accused my mother of cheating on him with another one of their coworkers. After she filed for divorce and left us nothing, my father killed himself and I was put into the foster system." My brain was wracking of all the possible ways I could be able to explain to them what happened without crying or leaving stuff out. "Allessandra is the AI inside me. She knew a great deal of general knowledge about the universe but she grew more human as I grew up. Learned how to give sass and attitude as well as compassion and understood a lot of my emotions."
