It's been a couple of days since my 'talk' with Bucky.
Of course, I put talk in phrases because there wasn't much talking on his part.
Although he's been doing what he was told. I haven't seen him at all. Of course, I've wondered where he's been but lately, I haven't cared. I did ask Steve once how Bucky has been but he didn't give me any satisfaction.
All I've been doing is training lately. I haven't even seen much of Nat or Wanda or even Dad. Steve has been training me for the past couple of days. Steve has asked if I wanted to talk about it but every time he says that I tend to punch harder.
Bruce and Helen have been running tests daily. Before and after my training. When I wake up and right before I go to bed. I had a problem with it at first but I'm used to it now. I look forward to it. I've been learning so much about how machines work and how they cooperate with my body.
"Ready for your tests?" Bruce patted my chair and I sat down.
"As always."
He hooked a machine to my pulse on my wrist and my temples. Helen walked in and smiled at me.
"You must be bored of this by now." He said taking off her jacket.
"I was but I've gotten used to it. Let's get this over with."
"Why have you got a hot date?" She laughed.
"I have a date with Netflix and rum."
"Uh no. No liquor." Bruce gave me an eye.
"Really?" He nodded at me. "For how long?"
"For however long we need to do these tests."
"Uggghhhhh. That's gonna be for months!" I slumped in my chair.
"Addict much?" Helen laughed again.
"Whaaat no." I tried to hide my smile.
"Don't worry. It will be over soon." Helen goes over to the computer. "Your brain is lighting up. Are you angry?"
"Maybe a little bit."
"It's not that big of a deal. I think you need to focus on bigger problems rather than drinking." Bruce swiped on his screen and it transferred to where Helen was standing.
"Like what bigger problems?" I asked.
Bruce gave me an eye. The look between me and Helen was pure confusion.
"How about the whole Bucky situation?" He purposely avoided eye contact.
"We don't talk about that." I pointed at him and he huffed his chest.
"I know it's not my business."
"It's not either of our business," Helen smirked. "But you'll still tell me later right?"
"Of course, I will." We both smiled at each other.
After testing was done, I walked to meet dad in the kitchen. He's been at the tower lately and I haven't gone to see him.
"Oof someone stinks!" I held my nose and entered the kitchen getting close to the rancid smell that was my father. "What happened to you?"
"I don't wanna talk about it."
"A sewer pipe broke while he was using the bathroom." Steve entered the room holding his nose as I was.
"You didn't change at the tower?" I started to swipe the air away from my face.
"You think I have spare clothes everywhere I go?"
"At least a suit." I shrugged and Steve and I laughed. "I'm sorry about the other day by the way."
