STEVES POV;
"Thank you for keeping quiet like I asked." I eyed Thor as he clomps his way into the room.
Before he left for Asgard I specifically told him to be as stealthy as he can be. His brother knows when he is around because he acts all high and mighty.
"Why are you here?" Kat asked Thor the one question I was hoping she wouldn't. I panicked and pushed Thor out of the room.
"Thor can I talk to you outside in the hallway." I gently shut the door and Thor looked at me confused. "You need to be careful about what you say." I whispered to him.
He looked at me confused.
"I didn't tell her about Loki."
"Why not?" His voice was so heavy it made it hard for him to whisper.
"You remember last time she was caught up in a Loki situation? He took her and almost killed her. I'm not letting that happen again."
"So your plan is to not tell her about a God who may over power her?" Thor asked and I sighed knowing it wasn't the smartest plan I've come up with.
"Yes so just lie or stall. For her safety." I looked Thor in the eyes in hopes he'll understand. He just nodded and pretended to smile. "You should learn how to fake a smile."
"My smiles are marvelous." Thor huffed his chest as we entered the room.
I went back to my window acting like nothing happened that that she wouldn't ask again. Unfortunately she pushed Thor for an answer.
He did however make up an excuse which I think she believed. I saw her lay down on the floor next to Sam.
Sam being Sam, of course he made some snarky remark to her sleeping ontop of him. It didn't make me mad but I didn't like it. I played it off as a joke telling them to get a room.
It only took about an hour before we spotted Loki. He was in plain site yet we only just saw him. I quietly told the boys about Loki trying not to wake Kat up. Thor immediately left the room to God only knows where. Sam sent Red Wing out to keep an extra eye on him.
"What do we do? He's just standing there." Sam asked standing next to me.
"When he moves, we move." I didn't move my eyes off him. We stood there for about 20 minutes just watching him.
"What is she doing?" I heard Bucky whisper to himself and I immediately looked over to Kat. Her eyes were closed yet her hand gripped her gun holster. You could see movement behind her eyes very clearly.
"She dreaming." Sam said.
"She's having a nightmare." I said. I could tell from her body language.
"Should we wake her up?" Sam asked. I hesitated to answer. As I looked back at Loki he was still in the same place. I nodded and Sam went over to bend down next to Kat.
"Kat wake up." Sam said quietly.
Kat stood up quickly as if she was being attacked; she was pointing the gun at Sam's head.
I immediately grab my sheild out of habit and took a step closer.
We all hesitate as we watch her look around the room in confusion.
Sam asked Kat to put the gun down but she didn't move. It makes you wonder what she was dreaming about to make her ask this way. I heard shuffle where he was but I didn't take my eyes off of Kat.
Bucky then told her to put the gun away and she finally did. As we finally let out a breath of release, a movement was caught on my senses and I turned to the widow.
"He's moving." I said just as Thor came back into the room. We watched him walk away from us down the sidewalk.
We all hustled out of the room and to our positions. I headed to an upper level window as Sam went to the roof and Bucky fallowed to the next room keeping a close eye. Thor planned to fly over head keeping his distance but also keeping uo with loki. As we stayed in our clear site of Loki I heard frantic footsteps going down the stairs. I opened the door but no one was there. When I got back to my position I saw Kat out on the street.
"What is she doing?" Bucky yelled to me. I didn't have an answer.
I see RedWing fly down towards Kat. Sam mist of seen her too. As she yells at RedWing, I see Loki stop and turn at a corner. He just stood there looking at something. It took me a couple seconds but I realize he's looking at Kat.
"Don't do it." I whispered to myself. "We need to get down there." I yell to Bucky.
"It'll blow our cover. We'll be over the news if people see us." Bucky yells back. I sigh in anger. I click the ear-peice that's clung to my ear.
"Sam what's she doing?"
"She said she thought she saw Bucky run out onto the street and fallowed him. What? She moving now too. Any site on Loki?"
I see loki turn and start walking into the alleyway and out of my site.
"He's moving." That's when I see Kat moving with her. "She's moving too. Sam we need to get down there."
"I'll check in."
I let go of my ear-peice and head towards the back door of the building making sure I won't cause of scene infront of people. I run frantically inback of buildings until I come to an alleyway that shoots across the street and into the alleyway where loki headed.
"I don't see them." I hit ny ear-peice again hoping Sam had kept his eye on her.
"I lost her. She's not here." That's when I see Sam drop down into the alleyway across the street. "She's gone."
I can hear his worry and sadness in his voice. Seconds later Bucky joins me. I shake my head at him and he just looks down, stull breathing heavy but running here.
"Fuck!" He yells and turns away from me. "Where the hell is Thor?"
"Thor do you copy?" I wait for a response but no answer. We all look defeated.
"How the hell are we supposed to tell Tony this?" Sam gets no answer. We all know hell is going to break loose once we get back. No Thor and no Kat.
