Monday

I groan quietly and put my head in my hands. My back aches and my eyes are dry from staring at my laptop for hours on end. "It's just a book, chill out" Noah says next to me, rolling his eyes

"Shut up" I say and they put their hands up in a surrender motion. I can't tell if he's actually irritated by me or if it's a joke

"You guys ok?" Allison comes over, holding a white cloth she was just using to wipe away all the crumbs and spilled beverages on the bar.

"Bird bitch over here is grumpy, we need espresso asap" Noah says and Allison laughs, they always get on  so much better than I did with either of them. I rub my temples, I'm so tired

"What's up, Noah go get yourself a muffin" Allison says so she can sit and talk to me without his childish self. I love Noah, but he's hard to deal with sometimes

"I'm trying to write the final twist to my book but I don't know what to do; the main character could die but that'll make the readers mad, the heroine could fall for the enemy but I think that'd be too big a twist." I rant, fiddling with my purple bracelet, and she nods along while she counts the cash in the register

After a couple seconds Allison goes to say something until someone yells that they what to see the manager, "I'm sorry, I have to go" she says and pats my shoulder.

"Yeah" I mumble, just in an overall bad mood from the book and the rainy weather here. "Hey, Noah?" I say turning around to see him talking to some brunette teenager that seems to be a regular customer, "I'm gonna head home, tell Ale I say bye" I give a smile and leave, grabbing my umbrella

The rain calmed down while I walked home which was nice, I just really wanted to get home and sit on my sofa. I tried to breathe and think rationally about everything while I walked. It was more of a head empty, walk forward kind of motion but I didn't stress so I think it's a win

My apartment building was busy with people running around, kids jumping on furniture and parents chasing after them. I just quickly walked up the stairs, not even looking at the elevators; knowing they'd be too full.

I live on the 3rd floor so the walk wasn't too bad, but I was still really happy when I walked to my door and unlocked it. Everything was as I left it and where it should be.

The door opened into the living room, there was a door to the kitchen, one to my room, and one to a bathroom. I walked into the kitchen and grabbed my reusable bottle I always have

"Stenson!" I yell, waiting for my cat to walk into view. He looks like a brown fluff ball, rolling into my small kitchen. He meows and I go to fill his water bowl and food bowl

"Hi baby" I say and give him a treat that's 'organic and tasty' like every other treat that's ever been advertised. He enjoys and sits next to me, he was on the counter, and let me pet him for a few minutes

I'm exhausted. My eyes hurt. The rain is making me extremely tired. And all I want to do is sit on the floor and stare at the wall for the next 12 hours. But I'm not going to, there's too much to do

Instead I go to my bathroom and shower, making sure to rub off my eyeliner and blush. Stenson sits in the sink while I do what I need to.

He's always near me, unless I'm out of the house while it's raining. He's an outside cat so he'll go on walks with me when it's not raining, sit at my desk when I write, lay in my bed with me. He's everywhere and I'm glad about it.

He just has a bad habit of being extremely annoying when he's mad. Like when I'm sick he knocks shit over for attention. I normally have Allison come by to take care of him or take him to her place when I do get sick, which is kinda often.

Getting dressed and putting my hair up, I pull out my laptop and shut out my book, getting on twitter instead to make a quick post 'fuck writing, this book is gonna kill me'

Within a couple of minutes I get retweets from other writers and some people commenting about how they're excited for the new addition to my stories.

Stenson sits next to me and puts his head on my leg while I scroll through Twitter, liking fanart and other writers posts. I wish I had more friends who wrote but really the only people I know are Allison and Noah.

After running through my feed I shut down my laptop and turned on my TV, letting anything (but the news) start playing, while I started re-reading Perks of Being a Wallflower

When it was about 10:30 I got up to go to sleep. My eyes were heavy from reading, so Stenson and I walked through the door that led to my bedroom and laid down. I had some song by Hozier playing in the background to help me sleep.

I've never been one to easily fall asleep, so I ended up just laying in bed for hours. Thinking about endings for my book, what I would write next. Eventually I started to fall asleep, Stenson curled up by my shins
