Mono took Six's hand and gripped it tightly, fear showing through within his grip. He let out a deep sigh as he looked to her with his dark, but emotional, eyes. "I don't know why I didn't think of this before.", he grumbled under his breath. Static began to surround their vision, a dark smog tacking along. Six began to realize what he was doing.
He was teleporting them.
And in that moment, she realized what was happening. This time loop had been going on for so long that life within the area was dying and the world had become a dystopia. But whatever creature the Eyes were, whatever the Signal Tower was, it fed off of this time loop, and if anything were to disturb it, the creature would feel pain. And now the order of time and space, along with the time loop itself, was being disturbed, so the creature was deeply in pain.
After a few moments, the static and smog faded away, and Mono and Six found themselves at the entrance of the Signal Tower. Six's attention was caught when she noticed that Mono seemed to feel uneasy. She could see the pain in his void eyes. Six gripped her arms around Mono's torso and looked up at him, remembering the days when they were just kids at the same height. She was worried he might fall. "Mono, are you alright?", she asked in a stern voice. "What's wrong?"
Mono steadied himself and shook his head with a jerk, determined. Six could feel the slight dizziness washing over her as well, but she fought it. Mono shook his head once more. "Nothing.", he muttered, his voice becoming rougher, but at the same time, smoother. "Let's just get this over with."
He gripped his fists tightly, holding Six's hand within one of his own, pulling her with him as they walked into the building of the time-twisted Eyes. The Eyes that were always watching, the Signal Tower that was truly a being, they were disrupted.
Six felt like Mono was extremely unstable but she dragged him along with her, and with each step he appeared to seem weaker, but she kept pulling him. They had to stop what was happening for once and for all. The two of them pulled on, and the Signal Tower was becoming angered by it, using its fleshy walls to attempt to stop them.
The walls began to break and crumble around them, revealing the flesh of the millions that had been consumed by the Transmission. The flesh seeped out of the walls and crawled forward, pulling closer towards Mono and Six. It seemed as if the entire world was against them, but in the world they lived in, it was more than just a saying, wasn't it? It was truth. Six pulled Mono as she found the rows of doorways that ranged down a long hallway. Six shook Mono ever so slightly, causing him to open his pain-induced closed eyes.
"Which door do we go through?", Six asked. Mono examined each door, the look on his face making it clear that he was searching for the door that he had went through all those years ago. He was searching through all those years of pain and hurt from being betrayed, from becoming tall and sickly thin, from being controlled by the Eyes, the Transimssion, the Signal Tower, whatever being it was that influenced so many of this pathetic world, this world of destruction. Mono had been broken, and Six could see it. Mono pointed to one of the doors.
"That one.", he mumbled under his breath.
Six ran to that door, pulling Mono with her. The two of them transported through the doorway, and found themselves in front of a large set of stone stairs. Six found herself in awe, for she couldn't believe what she was seeing. But she couldn't let herself adore the sight for long, she had to keep moving, as she was noticing that Mono was becoming weaker. The Signal Tower was causing this weakness, for Mono was under its control, a part of him was Transmission, so a part of him was part of the Signal Tower.
The two of them traveled throughout the Signal Tower frantically, avoiding the bloody flesh that chased them, fighting to get to the room that withheld young Mono and what was possibly Monster Six. They kept dragging on until they finally came to a door with the break of an axe in it. "We're here.", Six muttered, and Mono wore a face was relief.
Six pushed the door open with a harsh push, keeping Mono balanced within her arm at the same time. Mono peered into the room with her, and their eyes lied upon something that they both had remembered.
Six had remembered seeing through her distorted vision as young Mono dragged an axe to the music box that she had agreed to share with him. He had been looking at her with braveness, but fear, as if she was a monster. But she had been. She was. Sometimes she still was. But this time she could change that. They could change that.
As the young Mono in present time, if it even existed, rose his axe, ready to strike the Monster Six's music box. Mono noticed it and wore a face of alarm.
"STOP!", Mono exclaimed.
Young Mono and Monster Six's attention diverted towards the older Six and Mono.
Silence filled the room.
