I saw all of Rex's memories, but the ones with him at a young age stood out the most.

He was born with a sister, his twin. Frequently, I saw him with my parents and I. That was when I realized he was my twin.

There was a rogue attack when I was three,where he was abducted and later raised as the son of a lowly rogue omega, who would beat him daily. One day, Rex got fed up with all the abuse and started teaching himself how to fight. When he felt he was ready, Rex left his "father" and took the name "Dragonclaw" as his own to show that he is much stronger than his surrogate father.

Apparently, the rogue pack's alpha had remembered who Rex's real parents were and just decided to kill them in coldblood because he left.

I removed my paw from my younger twin's head, blinking. I got up on all fours, excitedly, and wagging my tail, I nuzzled my brothers head. Welcome home, Bro. I thought.

Leonidas shifted and growled, making the ground shake under my paws, and used his tail to gently pull me to him. He crouched over me and dominantly bared his teeth at Rex.

I Whined to get Leonidas's attention and he immediatly looked at me. I shook my head and rubbed it against his leg to show that was not going to leave him or Daniel for Rex.

Leonidas Closed his mouth and purred, possessively nuzzling my fur. When he was done, I excitedly ran behind a tree and shifted.

After I was dressed, I ran over to my brothers wolf and hugged him saying, "Welcome home, brother."

Rex looked up at me in disbelief. He opened his jaw and did something I never thought was possible. "So you're the twin that I thought was dead..?" He spoke?!

"H-how.. H-how d-did you..?" Daniel stuttered.

"Speak?" I Finished. I heard Leonidas shift behind me and then he pulled me to him in order to cover himself.

"I've heard of this happening before," Leonidas said, unexpectadly. "The Moon Goddess gives this gift to those who will never shift again. Usually those who have lost their ability to shift are unworthy and evil rogues, but those who lost their human form because of a traumatic event and are worthy, gain the power of speech," he hesitated. "This also happens to the captain of the royal guard."

"Captain of the guard?" Rex questioned, "But.. You guys barely know me."

"Doesn't matter," Daniel stated, "The Moon Goddess chose you and we will honor her choice. Just prove to us that you are ready for that job."

"On that note," I started, "I think its time to get home. If I remember correctly, my betas have an extra bedrpp, and I'm sure they'd be honored to let you stay there; at least until I can build you a house or something."

We won't be discussing that now, I ordered, You do have a wolf bed.. Right?

Yes, Alpha, they responded, unfeelingly.

I looked to Rex and said, "My betas have a wolf bed ready for you to stay in."

"Thanks," Rex responded.
