I felt so bad after scaring the shit out of Whitney.
But, that's beside the point.
Whitney's yelp had set off the entire pack, causing them to shift and surround me. But they didn't attack because I had comforted her, but one boy had lost control of his wolf and bit my toe after I put his alpha down. Once he had figured out what he had done, (which stings like a bitch) he released me and cowered back.
I got down on my knees and ran my claw, that was the size of him, across his shaking coat, but I didn't claw him. I did that to show that I respected his courage and that he needed to learn how to control his inner animal.
Abel Crete, one of my delta quadrudleds, got down on his knees next to me and represented my clan's respect for the boy by running his claw across the other side of his flank.
After he did that, he turned his head towards mine and bashed his horns against mine, making a sound like swords clashing. The behaviour seemed dominant to the wolves because I heard them gasp like he had disrespected me. I rolled my eyes. That was a huge sign of affection, like brotherly love except he was affectionate for his clan leader and friend.
Abel and I got up and I motioned to my clan to go shift behind the trees. I turned to do the same, but stopped when Whitney called out my name.
"Meet me in the house that my betas lead you to."
