"My clan and I have been on the run since our home was ambushed by a huge rogue clan. The leader was extremely trusted within our clan, so we don't know why she ambushed us. That clan had to have been all the rogue clans put together because it was bigger than mine by a long shot," I said to my mates. My mates! Two of them! I've waited all my life to meet them... Alright, Leo, this is serious. "My father, Drake-"
"Goddess be with him," my clan said. The phrase was a sign of respect for a great fallen leader.
"Anyways... My father was a good friend of the alpha of this pack and we came to ask if you would let us stay on your land until everything dies down."
"Uncle Drake is dead?" the female asked.
"What?" I'm confused.
"The alpha you're talking about?" she mused.
I nodded.
"He was my father," she said, sadly.
"Was?"
"He was murdered along with my mother and their betas," she answered.
"That's horrible." Worse than my parents. "When did you become alpha?"
"Three hours ago," the male said.
"Names?" I asked.
"Whitney Malicious."
"Daniel Wolfsbane, yours?"
"Leonidas Nightlocke," I answered.
"You and your clan are welcome in my territory," Whitney said, "and follow me to the main town."
"I don't trust her, Leo," Beau Silver, one of my five betas said.
"I know you aren't very trusting after your girlfriend betrayed the clan and you, but they are my mates and your future leaders. Show some respect," I growled through the mind-link.
