We were walking through the outside corridors and snow was falling onto Fallon's pink nose, I was trying not to look but for some reason, I found it hard to look away when she giggled and tried to catch a snowflake on her tongue.

"You like the snow, I take it?" I ask and she looked up. My face flushed as her blue eyes poured into mine.

"We didn't get snow in Malibu." She said and looked up and all around her.

It's funny, really, how people's perspectives are. I think nothing of the snow while she looks at it as a wonderful thing.

"So yes, I do like the snow. Do you?" She asked and I shrugged. "I don't have a problem with snow but I don't think it's anything special," I said and she chuckled.

"You remind me of snow, Draco Malfoy" She said and I flashed her a smirk.

"Is is the hair?" I asked and she let out a small giggle.

"No." She said and stopped walking, then took a seat in the fluffy layer of ice on the ground.

"You remind me of snow because everybody thinks of it as cold and unpleasant, but if you take a closer look you can see how beautiful and intricate snow really is." She said and I just looked at her, I couldn't do anything else.

And she just looked back.

Nobody has ever said anything like that before, and I didn't know what to say.

She cleared her throat and threw a pile of snow at me.

"I suppose it's the hair as well." She said with a wide grin.

I chuckled and sat next to her.

"Ever made a snow angel?" I asked and laid back into the snow, she shook her head and laid next to me.

"No but I've made a sand angel, so I get the gist." She said and turned to face me, but I stayed looking up into the sky, letting the snow fall onto my face.

"Well I've never made a sand angel so I suppose we're even," I said and after a laugh, we just sat in silence for a few moments.

"Why are you talking to me, if you don't mind me asking?" She asked and I shrugged. "Why wouldn't I be?" I asked and turned only my head to meet her eyes.

"Well, Harry said that you weren't a very friendly person, to put it nicely, and he said to be careful because you hated him because of what happened with that evil wizard dude, and Harry said that by default, you would hate me as well." She explained and I took a deep breath.

"I don't know, you're just different I suppose. Your presence doesn't make me want to slam my head into a wall, and that's rare for me." I said, trying to make it a joke. She smiled a bit.

She had a nice smile, perfectly straight white teeth with pretty lips.

I could see myself kissing those lips, but actually kissing them, not just using them.

I didn't realize how close we were until I felt her breath on my cheek, I turned my body to face hers, just like she did.

We didn't speak, we just looked into each other eyes for a little while and I knew that I wouldn't mind if we looked into each other's eyes all the time.

We could just sit here in the snow, for the rest of time, and let everything else melt away.

She propped herself up on her elbow and leaned closer, almost over me. I looked up into her eyes and let out a shaky breath.

I don't know why she made me so nervous.

She leaned closer to me, so I did as well and then she spoke softly.

"Can I ki-"

"Hey Fallon!" Potter's voice rang from the distance and I looked over to see Potter, Granger, and Weasley walking our way.

Fallon softly cleared her throat and we backed away from each other.

"Are we interrupting?" Ron asked with a tone and then shot me a shitty look.

"No, I was just leaving actually," I said and got onto my feet, then helped Fallon up as well.

"Good, she doesn't need to be talking to you anyways," Granger said and Fallon sighed.

"If there's anyone that she doesn't need to be talking to, it's you, mublood." I spat and I saw Fallon roll her eyes.

"Would you guys just quit it?" She asked and I rolled my eyes.

"Whatever" I mumbled and turned to walk away but Fallon grabbed my sleeve and I turned back around to look into her eyes.

"Thank you for talking with me, it was nice." She said and I just looked down at her for a second and then nodded.

I pulled my sleeve from her and walked away, leaving her confused.

She shouldn't be confused. I can't let my guard down around anyone, especially not Potter and his gang. I needed to loosen her control over my emotions and I needed to be away from her to get my edge back.

But, I didn't want to be away from her.

I walked to turn back around and kiss the disappointed look off of her face.

But I couldn't, and I doubt I will ever be able to.
