Bad at love

chapter six

"Hey Pansy." I heard Fallon say as she walked up to us. Pansy and her talked, giving me a minute to plan.

I didn't want to seem too excited to see her, because then everyone would think something was up, but I also didn't want to be an asshole either.

Do I just say hi? Should I approach her first. No that's not something I would normally do, i'll wait for her to come to me, but I want her to think I was eager to see her.

Ah shit this is stupid. I cannot believe I am thinking about this right now, i'm just going to go for it.

"Hey Fallon." I said at an awkward volume, interrupting what Pansy was saying.

Pansy gave me a weird look when the girls turned to face me.

I was trying not to cringe, that was embarrassing.

"Hey Draco." Fallon said with a smile and then turned back to Pansy with a small giggle.

I heard Pansy whisper something about 'hes so weird.'

God that was a disaster. Maybe planning would've been better.

"That was hard to watch." Blaise said quietly as he grabbed my shoulder.

I sucked my teeth and shook my head I don't know what you're talking about." I said.

"I think you do." He said and I sighed.

"I need to teach you how to talk to girls." Blaise said and I chuckled.

"I know how to talk to girls, thank you."

"No, you know how to get into girls pants, and i'm guessing you want to do a little bit more than that with this one." He said and I shrugged.

"How do you know I don't just want to have sex with her?" I asked and he raised an eyebrow.

"It's pretty obvious Draco. I mean, you're not even that nice to us, and we're your best friends." Blaise told me.

He was right but I didnt want him to know that.

"I'm just trying to be welcoming. I can stop if you want." I said and he rolled his eyes.

"Whatever you say, Draco." He told me and shook his head.

"Now, lets go eat lunch with our girls." He said with a smirk and I groaned.

"You better cut it out." I said and followed him as he grabbed Pansy by the waist and dragged her away from Fallon, leaving Fallon and I standing there.

"Lunch?" I asked awkwardly and she smiled and nodded. 

We trailed behind Pansy and Blaise into the lunch room where I sat next to Fallon, across from the other two.

I saw Potter, Weasley, and Granger staring at me and whispering from the Gryfindor table and It made me a little uncomfortable to say the least. Normally I wouldn't care but this is a bit different. 

I know what they're talking about this time. 

I looked to Fallon who was laughing along with whatever Pansy and Blaise said while I wasn't paying attention. 

Fallon was so effortless, everything she did was beautiful and she wasn't even trying. 

She leaned over to me and gently laid her hand on my arm

"They're staring at us" she whispered and I went stiff as her breath touched my cheeks. I felt myself blush and took a deep breath. 

A lot more people were staring now, including Pansy and Blaise who were trying not be make it obvious but failing miserably. 

I don't do this, I'm Draco Malfoy, I'm not the kind of boy that gets flustered over a girl and gossiped about for being vulnerable. 

I shrugged my arm away from her and quickly stood up.

"Don't be weird, Potter." I told Fallon and she looked confused as I turned and almost ran out of the lunch room, causing even more people to stare. 

I didn't mean to hurt her feelings and I could tell that I did, but I can't let a girl change me and what I was brought here to do.
