back story
Jaden and Dia have been friends since forever, they're parents have been friends since 8th grade, they fell off a couple of years ago after Dias father passed away but Dia and the walton's were still close. after Dias dad died her mom began to take it out on Dia when Dia was 16 she moved out of her moms house and she has an apartment. Dia was born 2 months after the twins, she was always closer to Jaden more than Javon. her and Jaden started dating when they were 12, it was just like normal middle school relationships but eventually they grew out of it. they're now 17 and their anniversary is tomorrow, they have a tradition to eat dinner at the Walton house and then go out after dinner.
Jadens pov
"has the ring come yet" javon spoke running into my room
"no im so pissed i have to give it to her tomorrow, i don't wanna have to wait" i replied going to check the shipping
"don't you guys listen to that cringy ass song by taylor swift" he said sitting on my bed
"yeah paper rings it's our song" i said smiling
"yeah it's cringy as fuck" he paused before saying "why don't you just give her a paper ring until the real one comes in"
my brothers an idiot but that's absolutely genius but there was one issue "how the hell do i make a paper ring"
"ask jayla she'll find out" he shrugged walking away
i got up walking into jayla's room "hey jayla" i asked sitting on her bed
"what's up im live" she said pointing to her phone
"jayla i need to talk to you can you turn that off i don't wanna ruin the surprise" i said looking at the live and the comments were going crazy about the surprise 'what is it' 'omg their anniversary is tomorrow' 'their gonna move in together'
"okay guys we gotta go" she grabbed her phone turning the live off "what's up"
"the promise ring hasn't came in yet and Javon gave me the idea to make her a paper ring and give her the real one when it comes in" i spoke
"that's so freaking cute oh my god, why do you need to talk to me about it though" she asked
"because i have no clue how to make a paper ring dude" i sighed
"i'll find a tutorial of some shit" she responded
"so you'll help me" i smiled at her
"of course i will this is kinda a big deal for you" she said going to hug me, after our hug she asked "when are you gonna give it to her"
"tomorrow during dinner, i think i want everyone to be there even though im not like proposing" i responded
"yeah that's good idea i'll make it and give it to you when i'm done" she smiled
"okay i just gotta ask mom something really quickly, should i call a family meeting" i asked her
