as veronica walked away, max scoffed and sat on the couch.
veronica was walking towards serena but julien suddenly grabbed her hand and dragged her to a quiet place. "oh my god, v" she ran her hand through her head.
"where are they?" veronica asked. julien was facetiming veronica the whole night, she was ranting about the julien-zoya-obie love triangle situation.
"i don't know... i'm so worried. they went to zoya's room" she sighed. "oh.. they there are" veronica peeked behind julien. "shit, shit, obie's approaching. i'll go distract zoya!" she said and ran to zoya.
audrey and her ran to zoya at the same time since audrey noticed that obie was approaching julien. the two held both zoya's arms.
"hey, z. i love your curls, they're so healthy!" veronica vaguely said as she touched her hair in attempt to stall her. "show us a picture of your grandma!" audrey said, zoya leading them to another room.
the lott's household was chaotic to say the least. as zoya was showing audrey and veronica a picture of her grandmother while the two were pretending to be interested, the living room was filled with chaos.
roy and saskia entered the house. minutes later, the three heard max's parents arguing in the living room. "are they okay?" zoya asked. "just a typical upper east side drama. nothing to worry about" veronica said.
the two best friends noticed that julien and obie weren't talking anymore, so they went back to the living room, watching everything unfold.
veronica looked over to max as his parents were fighting. she gave him a sly smile, subtly giving max comfort without being obvious. audrey was beside veronica, watching the two.
"jesus, sorry if my feelings are complicated" roy said. serena walked to veronica, standing beside her. "this would be much worse if your father's here" she whispered.
"complicated? eating foie gras is complicated. separating the art from the artist is complicated. not wanting to fuck your husband isn't complicated. it's pretty goddamn simple. well, he doesn't, or didn't, and i am oversimplifying for dramatic effect, but it's... what? complicated?" gideon said, everyone watching him.
"dinner's ready!" nick shouted from the kitchen, breaking the tension in the living room.
