Sunaina's POV

It all felt like a surreal dream. I looked at the cake- a splendid black forest cake. The cake was shaped into a heart that was bordered by cherry all over and decorated by chocolate shavings. Did they make those here? To top that, this is my favorite kind of cake. How did he know this?

"Arjun how did you know that this is my favorite flavour? Did Preeti tell you?"

"Umm actually yes. But they don't make such cakes here so..."

"So?"

"I asked a chef personally."

"You what?" To which he smiled shyly. My eyes returned to the cake again. On top of it was written "Sunaina" with a pink cream. I was elated at this. I never thought, he would give me something like this. I looked at the side and saw another little bear candle standing on top of the cake tray. It was so cute!

"Arjun I just don't know what to say. All this is so adorable. Seeing all this..." I paused. "Why?" He looked at me with question filled eyes.

"Still why don't you ever give up? You know how hard it will be for me to let go and go back to my world when you finally will get your happy ending? Do you know how much it will tear me apart? Then why are you making it so difficult for me?" He smiled sadly at my accusations while my eyes just couldn't help but let go of all the tears welled up inside for so long.

"I never really thought that I will do this for anyone." He smiled holding on to my hands and laced his fingers around mine. I looked at him with teary eyes and wet cheeks. "But when I am with you, it doesn't matter anymore. You are my happy ending. You always were. So I have the right to celebrate my happy ending don't I?" His words thrilled me to the core. It feels unreal to say, but this 30 year old woman has melted away in his words and charm. I want to stay with him forever but it's not possible. He knows that as well. How can a man love me so much? What a tragedy it is. I smiled at him again. His eyes melting my very existence by his gaze.

"I will save you Arjun even if I don't get my happy ending." I smiled at him again and pulled him by his shirt. Losing his balance, he came closer to me. That's when our lips met each other. I just couldn't let go of him. He started sucking on my lower lips and I could feel something salty trickle down. Were they tears? I stopped in between and looked at him when I saw him crying. I kissed him again and he pulled me in his arms. This time, he was not letting me go. I knew how he felt about me and I felt the same thing as well. We didn't let go of each other for a while when Arjun suddenly said.

"I love you..."

"I love you too..."

"Can we cut the cake now?" I giggled and nodded at his question. I took the plastic knife in my hand and blew off the candles.

"Happy birthday to you...
Happy birthday to you...
Happy birthday dear Sunaina...
Happy birthday to you..." My mouth curled up to a big smile when I heard Arjun singing this for me. I giggled and started cutting a piece of the cake while he was clapping for me. My eyes shinning from the light of his love. I fed him a part of the piece while he took the rest of the portion to feed me. While he was busy chewing away the piece he was eating, I took a little bit of the cream from the cake tray and smeared it all over Arjun's face.

"Hey!!" He squeaked in surprise. "What was that for?" While he was all surprised at this, I was laughing my lungs out.

"What? A prince can't handle white cream?" I started laughing again.

"No. But the fiance of the prince is the one whom he can't handle." He smirked at me and I went at him again with some cream in my hand. Before I could reach out to him again, he caught my hands tightly and looked at me with his piercing gaze.
