"I'm sorry, sir what?"

"I'll pay for your car, Taehyung-ah. I just want you to show my daughter around for me a little, that's it! I'll even pay you extra for it!"

Taehyung was basically gawking into the phone, he didn't know whether to cry out of nervousness, or happiness.

"Uh, Mr L/N, one quick question - yeah, how exactly did you find out I wrecked my car?"

He hasn't even mentioned to his boss that he'd gotten into an accident, the guy, somehow, just knew! On one note it was super duper thoughtful because even though Taehyung was completely capable of paying his own repair bill (Seeing as he didn't even want to talk to the lady that totalled his precious truck, let alone deal with payments n shi), he really would like to avoid the major dent in his wallet, but on the other hand - slightly creepy???

How on earth had Mr L/N heard about it? But Taehyung knew better than to question or dwell on the ins and outs of his boss' brain, he just told himself to be grateful.

"Boy, don't worry about all that nonsense, just consider the repair dealt with! Now about my daughter.."

Ah yes, the catch!

"Yes, your daughter..."

"She's been set to inherit the company as the natural heir, if that's not too extravagant a term, and yet she knows nothing about how to care for actual plants and flowers. So, I want you, my boy, to show her the ropes of how our world works."

Well, How was Taehyung supposed to even react to that?

"But sir, I don't know how to train someone! Let alone your own daughter,"

He heard the older man sigh on the other side of the phone call, "Child, If I didn't think that you didn't have the ability to pass on your knowledge, and teach others the art of your craft, and discipline, then I simply would not have hired you. Not only do you have talent, but you have wisdom, and a relationship with your work that people could only dream of having. Don't go easy on her because she's my daughter, train her like you would any other worker. I'd be more angry with you if I found out you were giving her special treatment, compared to you being a little strict. I know you can do it Taehyung-ah, just believe in yourself!"

And with that, Taehyung's boss had cut the call. He loved his boss, he always made him feel so safe, so cherished. His boss always cared for him with so much respect, he couldn't ask for anyone better.

So who was Taehyung to refuse training a simple girl how to care for a couple plants? Plus he'd even get paid extra!

This would be easy peasy!

---

You knew that this wasn't going to be easy.

This was practically torture for you, and your father was well aware of it! But he was incessant, and you being the good, obedient daughter that you were, went along with it.

Sure, you had just graduated out of your masters program, and yes you were supposed to work for the family business anyways, but you didn't think that you'd actually be working in a flower shop, you thought you'd be up in headquarters, starting on the operational team. But obviously your family had other plans.

There you were, on a Monday morning standing in front of a quaint little shop, in the midst of the hustling and bustling town square, staring up at the very aesthetically pleasing sign that read : 'SEEDS & PLANTS'.

Working up the courage to actually enter the store served to be a more challenging task than you thought. You were nervous, clearly, hands fidgeting with the strap of your Prada Saffiano Leather Bucket handbag, a bluette color to match your emotions to a T. (It's important to stick to the concept, you know?)

Taking a deep breath, you pushed the glass door open, and only then did you realize that if there was anyone inside the shop, they could actually see you through the door and windows, since glass was, in fact, not opaque, and now they probably thought you were an absolute idiot who'd been standing outside the entryway for the past five minutes.

The light tinkle of the bell on top of the door alerted anyone inside the shop of your presence. Sure, it was a bit awkward but your eyes caught on to the beautiful interior of the place. There actually was no one inside, so you were in the clear, but you were mesmerized by a gorgeous lavender display covering the entirety of the store ceiling, drooping down as if trying to reach the flowers and various bouquets arranged on the floor.

The cream walls were also entirely marble, mirroring the checkered black and white floor. You knew that your family business was high end, but you didn't know it was this fancy. Rows and rows of flowers covered the wooden benches lined up inside the room.

The shop looked quite cozy from the outside, but now that you were physically standing in the blossoming oasis that was this florist's shop, you could easily tell that it was a lot larger than you had thought.

Looking a little further from the front room, a second section came into the light. Your vision was completely surrounded by various viridescent shades, shimmering and glimmering in the sunlight. It looked to be a place only for plants that didn't have flowers, not a speck of a blooming bud in sight, so very contrasting from the entrance when you first step into the shop.

Almost like a safe haven.

Your thoughts were interrupted by a light cheery voice, "Hi! How may I help you today?"

You turned to find a man somewhere around your age smiling at you brightly, a blond head of hair shining in the sunlight seeping through the windows, his name tag spelling out 'JIMIN'.

You smiled back at him, "Uhm, I'm supposed to be seeing a 'Kim Taehyung'. I think?"

His eyes lit up in realization, and he stepped closer to you excitedly, "Oh! Taehyungie told me about you, aren't you Mr. L/N's daughter? We're all so happy to have you around!"

Oh, so more people knew about your presence?

"Yes, I'm Y/N, he's supposed to be training me, I guess." Taehyung is supposed to be your father's most precious employee, you always hear his name at your weekly family lunch on Sundays. Maybe this was a good opportunity to put a face to the infamous name.

"Well, that's just fantastic! My names Jimin, and you're here early as well, that's great then. Taehyung cares for punctuality very much, he's just a little late because his car's in the garage right now. " He leaned a little closer to you, as if to share a secret, "Just between you and me, he can be a little bit of a stick up the ass, to be honest. But don't worry, we can always nitpick his infinite faults together at lunch!."

You were about to laugh when a loud 'ahem' broke you two out of your little huddle.

"You must be Y/N- oh.."

You turned to lock eyes with a person who was scarily familiar.

Oh no..

But you'd just gotten your nails done!
