On the other side of the store, far away from the hurricane of emotions, a flower was blooming. A beautiful light pink carnation, made purely from the growing affection of two separate individuals lit up the room, filling it with the fragrance of its sweet sweet sap.
Two baby birds shared shy glances, too bashful to speak up.
What had changed? Not much, one of them was just trying to work up the courage to say 'thank you'.
You were pretending to be busy cleaning the gardenias up, ever since Jimin had taken off with a quick 'i'm not feeling so well, i'll be back in a few days', shortly after Jungkook's exit where he slammed the door shut, it had been just you and Taehyung in the shop.
Alone.
Which did not happen often.
You could feel his eyes lingering on you, almost like lasers shooting into the back of your neck, but instead of lasers made of light it was more like flower power lasers. There wasn't any anger, hostility or anything of the sort. It was very nice.
"Ahem." He cleared his throat, begging internally that you would turn around in response.
And once you did turn, his courage started to deflate again.
'It's simple!' he told himself, 'stop being such a wimp'
You looked at him questioningly, your eyes urging him to say something. Literally say anything.
"Thank you, for, uh, the coffee and the bagel," He looked down at his shoes, unable to make eye contact, "That was very thoughtful of you."
He looked back up just in time to see the beginnings of a sweet smile on your face. Oh how his heart fluttered at that smile.
"That's not a problem. I already have an idea for your drink tomorrow."
Your voice was just as sweet as your smile, why hadn't he noticed that before? Everything about you was just so sweet, as sweet as the drink you had gotten him, as sweet as the floral scent you wore everyday. You were just sweet.
Your words caused his eyebrows to shoot up in surprise, "Ah, really?" He waited for you to nod, "Thank you, for that."
You laughed slightly and Taehyung swears his heart jumped a little at the sound.
"You are very welcome."
