can we take a moment to appreciate the kind of emotional strain newt must have been under to escape the maze? he was running towards a destination he wasn't sure he would really get them out, there was the fear of grievers attacking them, the same grievers that killed alby right in front of him, and it was also probably his first time back in the maze since he'd tried to jump so just imagine all the thoughts and feelings that must have brought him.
