It's sunset and we're getting ready to leave. "This won't work," Emily said, worried.

"It will. Hopefully." I replied not feeling 100% confident.

"Hopefully? It's your plan and you're hoping it'll work." Emily said.

"It'll work as long as we keep our heads down and stick to the shadows," I said.

"We just need to set Malcom free then let the people know the truth. That's when the real war will begin." Ashton said, "now get ready it'll be dark soon."

"Where's your dad?" Stephanie asked.

"I don't know, he'll probably be back soon." We load the traps into our bags and the little weapons we have plus the ones we made like a terrible sling shot. Emily's helping Stephanie load her bag. Ashton passes me my sword as he smiled, "I bet your dad is honoured you're the one wielding his sword."

"Thanks." I smiled back. I noticed Brandon death staring Ashton.

We were about to head out when Brandon asked, "Katie can you help me with my holster please? I can't get it on properly."

"Yeah sure." The others continued to head out. I go over and help adjust his holster properly on his thigh. He hates them as he finds them really uncomfortable but knows they're handy. I have one on my lower leg where I keep a small knife but my main holster is on my belt, that's where I keep my dad's sword. I hope I can live up to his expectations and use it how he'd like me to and protect people. "So, you've forgiven him then? You forgave Ashton after everything he did to you? After everything they both did to us?"

"Ashton and Steph apologized and it may take a while for them to earn our trust back but I forgive them, so does Emily and so should you."

"They left us Katie. Me and Emily had to pick up pieces of your heart off the floor."

"I'm not saying what they did didn't hurt because it did. A lot. But they did it to help."

"I know that but there were better ways of helping." Brandon argued.

"I know but they're here now and helping. And right now, we need to stop Sinead. That's what we should be focusing on."

"I'm sorry. I just hate how much he hurt you. I agree, let's go stop that psycho."

Me and Brandon ran out the cave and are greeted with a swarm of guns pointed at us. All the guards are in Stone Tribe uniforms. How did they know we were here? Ashton, Emily and Stephanie are on their knees with their hands behind their heads looking terrified. "Chuck your stuff over then get on your knees." One of the guards ordered. We complied. We throw our bags and weapons over then knelt down. I'm by Ashton and Brandon is on the other side. What's going on?

"Ever since I first saw you I knew you were going to be a pain Katie." Sinead came striding from behind the guards. She's wearing black jeans, a lace black corset and has her long black hair out flowing.

"And ever since I first saw you I know you were a psychotic bi..." I replied.

"Language you little rat."

"How did you know we were here?" Ashton interrogated.

"I've always known you've been here. I knew you didn't leave. I've known you've been sneaking around the tribe this entire time."

"How?" Ashton asked, "we were careful and discrete."

"You can thank your daddy for that."

"What? You captured my dad? If you've hurt him I swear to God."

"Not quite. Why don't you come say hello to everyone... babe?" Sinead smirked. Christopher came out from behind a massive rock with an even bigger smirk on his face. What is going on? Everyone is shocked. Especially Ashton. His eyes are full of so much pain.

"Babe? You two are together?" Ashton screamed not fully believing it.

"Yes and have been for a long time. I love her and she loves me. I met Sinead a long time ago. I got bored with the life with you and your mother and wanted more. And to be honest I stopped loving you and your mum a long time ago. Me and Sinead decided to run off back to her tribe but I needed an out that was good enough that no one would come looking for me. I decided to fake my death. I pretended to drown then swam further out to meet Sinead on her boat." Christopher explained. Ashton stayed completely still not even blinking. He remained silent. His head must be filling with a million questions. All of ours are. Sinead and Christopher have been together this whole time. Sinead knew about us and our secrets and plans the entire time. That's how she knew about my dad, because of him. My dad's dead because of him. I can't believe it. Ashton's own dad, his own flesh and blood did this. How? Why? Ashton just got his dad back and now this. "You're a monster! He's your own son and you betrayed him. You betrayed your own family." I screamed.

"Like I care. I care about me and Sinead. Nothing else. Not my son. Sinead's my family. Not him." Christopher stated and I can't believe I heard those words come out his mouth and I can tell that Ashton having to hear those words broke him. We thought we could trust him. We thought he actually cared and loved Ashton like a dad's supposed to.

"What are you going to do to us?" It's Stephanie this time.

"Well considering you all seem to love this tribe so much and want to protect it, I thought I'd let you watch it burn." Sinead laughed. "Take em away. Their face's annoy me."

The guards were about to pick us up when Christopher stopped them, "careful with Stephanie she can pick a lock so handcuff her."

"Douche." Stephanie muttered as a guard locked handcuffs on her and made sure to close them extra tight. A guard pressed his gun into my head and I snapped. I whacked the guard's gun and pointed it directly at Sinead's head. In the moments I had reacted, Christopher had been just as quick and grabbed his own son and held a knife to his throat. Sinead wagged her finger at me. I have no choice but to surrender the gun. I threw the gun at Sinead and hit her in the face causing her nose to bleed. "God how I wish I could kill you but you have to suffer first." Sinead said, agitated. Christopher lowered his knife. He had pressed the knife into Ashton's throat so hard there's a faint imprint and speckles of blood. "Move!" One of the guards shouted as they pressed the gun into my back.
