We're Just Partners... (Soul Eater Love Story...ies*)

Ch. 2: First Meet

Rhiannon's POV:

There was a reaper standing in front of us... A weird one. He had that skull thing on his face, too! When are those gonna end? Anyways, I looked up at him as he looked down at Mikayla and me.

"Why hello!" He said with a wave of one big, square hand. He seemed really nice! I think I'm kind of liking this reaper guy!

"Um... By any chance.. Do you know who the principle is?" Mikayla asked. She seemed really nervous. "I'm right here! Lord Death at your acquaintance !" The reaper responded. Mikayla just decided to shiver and hide in a corner while repeatedly saying "sorry" in a high pitched voice. I internally laughed and shook it off.

"We're the n-" "-ew students?" The principle finished my sentence.

"U-uhm yes! We need to find out our classes and possibly partners! We can fit for each other but we wish to meet new friends." I said confidently, seeing Mikayla come out of the corner.

"Oh of course~! I will find out your schedule. We do not have any matching meisters or weapons available at the moment, but you can assist two of our seniors since their partners aren't here at the moment." He said with his on-going cheery voice. I don't understand how he keeps that up. Oh well!

Mikayla nodded and looked up at the principle. "S-seniors!? What are their names..?"

The reaper looked like he was smiling, though that skull face didn't change. "One of them is Soul Evans. He's a weapon. And the other is my wonderful sun, Death the Kid; a meister. You can just call them Soul and Kid, though."

Mikayla and I nodded as the reaper looked surprised. "There we go!~ your schedules!~"

A small kid with blue hair ran up and handed us our schedules. He gave me Mikayla's and her mind. We both sighed and switched schedules as the boy laughed a bit and yelled "my bad!! Nice to meet ya! I'm Black Star, the most powerful guy here!!"

Mikayla waved silently as Lord Death shook his head "to be honest you are NOT. Reaperrrr Chop!" He yelled with his giant hand coming down to the kid's head. Black Star whined and ran off while waving at us. I waved back. What a weird school...

~~Lunch Time~~

Death the Kid's POV:

Dad told me about these new girls coming to this place. Sucks for them, they have no partners except possibly each other! I just hope they aren't asymmetrical trash...

I sat down with a lunch tray that had my lunch symmetrically cut and placed onto it. While I ate silently, Soul came to me waving with a poker face "Sup." he said in monotone. "Heard about the new girls? Lord Death said they're nice and cute or somethin'."

I shook my head "true beauty comes from symmetry, and dad never mentioned that."

"You never know man! Didn't he get this place symmetrically made or something?" Soul backfired at me. I gasped and smiled "you're right! Maybe I'll get to see true symmetrical beauty at first sight!~"

That's when I saw it. One girl with nice black hair, but her shirt had a pattern on on side, and not the other! But the other... Glistening white hair and sapphire eyes. And her uniform was symmetrical!! Her bangs fell forward so nothing came asymmetrical from her!

I guess I was blushing because after Soul drooled a bit from the other...asymmetrical student... He laughed at me. "Yo Kid how about you say hi!" He said in a teasing tone. I just growled and took an aggressive bite of my sandwich.

Those two girls saw us I guess, and they made their way over. "Are you the principle's son?" The symmetrical one said with a smile. I nodded and she smiled brighter. "I'm Mikeira~! Lord Death said we'd be working with you and um.."

"Soul." The asymmetrical girl finished. Soul nodded to her and that girl smiled and nodded "I'm Rhiannon! Nice to meet you!~"

Soul waved to Rhiannon and Mikeira as I let my OCD take over "you're asymmetrical.." I muttered to Rhiannon.

"I'm what now?" Rhiannon asked. She seemed dumbfounded yet angered at the same time. Women...

"I guess he means that your shirt is throwing him off..." Mikeira finished. Dang she already knows me! Mikeira smiled a big and then, realizing that she was symmetrical, blushed a bit. I grinned and laughed.

"Congratulations on you symmetry, Mikeira." I said while clapping a few times. She laughed nervously and waved her hand a bit "I just decided to wear the uniform..!" She said with a slight stutter and lack of confidence. I guess she's timid at times.

Speaker (Lord Death's voice): Soul Evans, Death the Kid, and my two dear new students, please come to my office please~! Thank you! **hang up noise**

I waited a few seconds and it came back on again.

Speaker: oh and bring your lunches! I'm sure you didn't finish yet!~ ok thank you!~ **hang up noise**

I rubbed my temples annoyingly as I smiled a bit. I wonder what my dad has for us now...
