Chapter Forty
Third Person's POV
Nasir lifted his head and took his dad's company's route. He parked the car and walked straight to the elevator, employees on the ground floor stared at him as if he were a candy. The new receptionist stopped him from going because he had no appointment but one of the employees laughed at her and said"He might be your next boss Lily"
"What do you mean?" She stated at him, almost disgustingly, that's almost every receptionist's behavior
"He is Nasir Muhammad Shehu"
Nasir just looked at them and didn't say anything to either of them, after a second, he just took the elevator's route.
"Good day" his dad's assistant, Jabir smiled at him
"He has a meeting that will end in five minutes, kindly wait please"
"Sure!" Nasir sat down and brought out his phone and started editing one his poems, writing is interesting till your muse is lost and almost nothing can be done about it because it willingly comes and goes.
Two men in corporate dressing came out of his dad's office smiling at each other.
"Mr Shehu" Jabir called out to him, indicating he could go in.
"Woah! Look who we have with us today" Mr Muhammad Shehu smiled at his son, it's surprising that the both of them are getting along pretty fast.
"Dad..." Nasir sat on the chair directly opposite his dad
"Are you okay?" His dad looked at him carefully
"Of course I am!" Nasir smiled
"Preparations are on for you guys to resume in 3 weeks, study smart" his dad said while his long fingers graced the laptop's keys.
"Sure dad..." He scratched his head and his dad immediately knew he needed something.
"You need something?" Mr Shehu raised his eyes and looked at him.
"Well...yeahh"
"Spill then..."
"You know Salma, right?" Nasir asked his dad even though he knows his dad knows her.
"Of course! That intelligent girl"
"Yeahh, dad, she's being forced to drop her dream for medicine because of finances..." Nasir explained everything to his dad who paid attention to him throughout.
"Hmm, so you want her to be on the school's scholarship list?" His dad asked
"Yeess, I know there's a way you can do it"
"Of course we can do it but..." His dad kept mute
"... it's almost late" his dad continued
"Ohh..." Nasir relaxed on the chair
"I can sponsor her" his dad suggested
"Yeahhh but..."
"... you don't want her to know she's being sponsored by me" his dad completed the sentence
