My teacher loves me

Chapter: 4

The day of my birthday came around and my mother and my younger brother Jeremy woke me, while they sung 'Happy Birthday'. This was so cute, but I only wanted to stay home, because I couldn't endure to be in the same room as Mr. Barry. He was still avoiding me and I don't know why, but it hurt!

My mom bend down and kissed my forehead

"Come on, sweetie! Breakfast's done" and left my room.

I sighed and checked my mobile phone, to see 25 mails, but none of them were from my friends. Usually they would call me the second it was midnight. Confused I walked into the bathroom.

As I was done, I headed down into the kitchen and saw, that the dining table was beautifully decorated. Packed presents were placed on it. My mum and brother smiled at me as I sat down. We ate and talked. I got many things from each of them. It was nice to know how mutch they care about me.

By time I was ready for school. I drove off. The schoolyard was empty and my friends were nowhere to be seem. I walked to the gym and saw my friends in the dressing room. I smiled and walked up to them. I was a bit surprised that they only hugged me but no 'Happy Birthday'. Did they forgot? I turned around and changed into my sport clothing. I talked to my friends as we walked towards the gym. they were the same as always. I was a bit upset, because I always tried to make their birthdays special. As we stood at the door of the gym, somebody covered my eyes. I gasped and was lead into the gym. Then we stopped. I heard Sophie's voice. She counted from three to one. As the hands removed, I blinked a few time. I saw the gym clearly and everybody stared to sing. A few tears streamed down my face!

On the walls hung garlands, that were inscribed with "HAPPY-17-BIRTHDAY". There flew balloons and streamers through the gym and there were tables with cakes and gifts too. The surprise was definitely successfull! My friends came to me and wished me a congratulation, even the boys. I was glad to have friends like them! We had lots of fun, playing some party-games and I smiled the whole day. As we finished tiding the gym, everyone took their bags and left, except me, because Mr. Barry asked me, to stay a few minutes longer.

I was unsure and nervous at the same time. I didn't know why I was there and what he wanted. I sat on the bank and played nervously with my fingers. As he sat down next to me, my heard stooped to beat for a few seconds. I looked shyly at the ground and tried to avoid eye contact. Then he started

"So... How are you?"

WHAT? I looked at him confused. I excepted he wants to talk about the almost kiss, but he only asked me how I was?!

"I'm okay. You?"

He cleared his throat and continued

"Honestly? No!"

He stopped and kept on

"I just... Just thought about us. Every minute! You're in my mind. At day and night. You won't get out!"

He stopped again and came closer. He was inches away and his hand hold me tightly. We looked at each other and he smiled at me. I smiled shyly back and blushed.

"You're cute when you're blushing!"

I couldn't stop looking at him, as he played with my hair. I loved it, when someone played with it. The butterflies flew through my whole body. To feel his near was so magically! I felt important, I felt... His lips touched mine. It happened! We kissed. As his lips arrived mine, it felt like a firework. The biggest firework, I had ever seen. The kiss only lasted a few seconds, but it felt like an eternity.

He slowly put his lips from mine and grabbed my hand again.

"Happy Birthday All!"

I felt my cheeks burning.

"Stop blushing, there's no reason!"

He laughed. I smiled at him and my cheeks burned even more. Suddenly we heard the bell and jumped. My next lesson started, but I wished I hadn't to leave, but I had to. I looked sadly at him, as he said

" I think you've to leave now."

He kissed my forehead. We flinched, as we heard someone clearing his throat. We turned around shocked and saw Mr. Thomson, the other PE-teacher.

"Leave!"

Mr. Barry ordered with a strict voice. I took my back and run out.

I arrived English lesson five minutes late. I knocked on the door and went in. I hate the gaze of the teachers and class mates, when I was late.

"Ms. Parker! You're five minutes late! What's your excuse?"

"I'm sorry Ms. Kennedy, but Mr. Barry wanted to talk to me."

Their gazes were still on me and I felt embarrassed even more.

"Well and what took him so long?"

Ms. Kennedy asked.

"I think it's none of your business!"

I said while I walked to my place. I saw her rolling her eyes. I loved it, when people did this, because of what I said. I sat down and Sophie attacked me with questions

" What happened? Did you kissed? Kissing, hugging, something like that?"

I smiled at her

"I'll tell you at lunch!"

"What? No! I can't wait!"

she said while she looked at me with her puppy eyes.

"But you have to! I'm sorry Soph!"

I looked back at Ms. Kennedy and saw her walking to me.

"Ms. Parker! I want to continue the lesson!"

she said and looked arrogantly at me. I hated her! She was so... Argh! She always searched for mistakes I made and she always found a way to embarrass me. She made me angry every time, but this time, she hasn't won!

"Ok, then walk back to your desk and start talking. I won't prevent you!"

I heard some little giggles. This time I won! She walked back to her desk and continued.

As the bell rung, I took my bag and left. Before I arrived at the door, I heard Ms. Kennedy's voice saying my name. I turned around and went to her desk.

"I see you tomorrow, at the detention, in the second break."

I nodded and walked back to Sophie.

"Now tell me what happened between you and Mr. Barry!"

So, I told her everything, even that we get caught by Mr. Thomson. As I told her the part where we kissed, she squealed and everyone looked a us, but we didn't care and I continued with my speech.

"Oh Ally, I which my birthday would be that great, like yours! His kiss was the best present!"

She jumped exited up and down.

"Calm down curly! I'm glad too, but also afraid! What will happen, if he betray us?"

"Ally! Stop thinking about Mr. Thomson. It's your birthday! Have fun, it's your day!"

She was right! I had to stop thinking and let the things happen!
