~Connor~

I felt my skin sizzle with delight as I walked closer to her. She isn't model hot, but she is so damn stunning I couldn't take my eyes off of her. How can one girl make me want to bow at her feet. She hasn't even spoken to me yet.

" Hello, do you know if anyone here hasn't found their mate yet?" I sound like a fucking dumbass. Come on Connor. This might be her. Try sounding cooler. Yeah. Cooler. I watched as her eyes opened in surprise. Why did she look so afraid and excited at the same time?

"T-t here is only one person whom hasn't found their mate yet." I heard her whisper back. Her voice.... Is angelic. My heart starts pounding through my chest.

"Could you tell me who?" I ask quietly.

"Me." I freeze. My mouth opens in shock. I need to touch her. I want to hold her. My hand starts to twitch before i realize i probably need to talk to her first. She looks down at her shoes and pushes a strand of her hair behind her ear. God, she is beautiful.

"This is going to sound weird, but-" I stopped as I heard a booming voice echo towards us.

"Ariana Elizabeth, what in Gods name are you doing? I expected you to be home a half hour ago!" I look at the girl and see her blush and run towards the man. As she ran I whispered Ariana, loving the way it ran off of my tongue. I just stared at her as they drove away. She glanced once more in my direction and gave me a... Longing look.

After their car was out of sight, I sighed and started to walk back to the bench before I felt a hand tap my shoulder. I spun around and noticed a petite girl with a very muscular man standing behind her.

"Are you Aria's Soulmate?" She asked. I blinked. Whoa. Blunt much?

"I believe so. Are you one of her friends?"

She giggled, "of course not. She is a loner around here. But I do know where she lives, I could give you her address. She seems like she needs a little happiness in her life." I smiled ear to ear.

"Please? That would make me the happiest person alive." She instantly grabbed my hand and wrote an address down on my wrist. I stared at her address for a moment and when I looked up the random girl was walking away. Hmm.

I decide that tonight might not be the best day to go visit her. I might need to go find a hotel first. I think I passed one walking here. I slowly walk back the way I came and dialed my moms number.

"Called for encouragement? Or did you actually want to talk to your dear mother?" I heard my moms voice drift through the phone. I smiled a little and realized I really missed my mom.

I might as well cut to the chase. "I found her."

"WHAT?! What does she look like? What are her hobbies? Does she like to cook? Is she a party girl? What are her parents like? Is she beautiful? Smart? Is-"

"Mom. Calm down. I don't know anything about her except her name. Ariana." I say, cutting her off of her interrogation.

"Such a beautiful name. Is she beautiful?" She gushes.

"Stunning." I whisper.

"Awe, my baby boy is growing up. Do you need me to come down there? Wait.... Is meeting the parent too early?"

I walk through the lobby of the hotel, "Hang on mom." I speak quickly to the man at the desk and grab the key from his outstretched hand. "No, mom I don't need you to come all the way over here. I want to actually have a conversation with her first. As soon as possible I will take a trip with her and take her to come see you. I promise."

"You better, mister. I miss you so much. I'm still not used to not seeing your smiling face in the mornings. The house feels so empty. I have been thinking about getting a dog. Maybe a husky. They're gorgeous. Plus, I saw one online that had the same colored eyes as you! Maybe I could get two so that way I have double the company!" I laugh as I listen to my moms rambling.

"I miss you too, mom. If you get a husky, its not sleeping in my room. That room is saved for when I can come back home to you. I miss your hugs, momma. I wish dad was here, so that way you didn't have to be so lonely.," I start to tear up.

I heard her sniffle, "your father would be so proud of you baby boy. I hope you know that. I'll be fine on my own. I'll just be the crazy dog lady of the town."

We talk for a couple hours longer until we are both beat. After I hung up the phone I took off my shirt and pants and threw myself on the hotel bed, which was surprisingly soft. I stare at the ceiling thinking about Ariana. I can still see her long light brown hair blowing through the wind.

I start to feel my eyes drift close, and I welcome sleep with open arms. I dreamt about her that night. Her beauty stunning me even in my dreams.
