Jungkook was acting... weird.
He was desperately trying to put up a brave facade, but it only ended up with him spacing out during a conversation or frowning to himself while he kicked small pebbles on the path.
Afriel had noticed, of course, but didn't say anything about it. He was definitely troubled about something, she thought as she ate the last bits of her ice-cream cone in her hand.
They had both gone quiet for a while, which Afriel didn't mind before, but now that the only thing keeping her occupied, i. e. her ice cream, had also finished, she felt the urge to speak something.
Finally, Jungkook lifts his head from his gaze on the ground.
"Wanna do twenty questions? We haven't quite known each other and it's almost been a week."
Afriel's eyebrow raises at the random question, but nods along. "You start then. But no favorite co-"
"What's your favourite colour?" Jungkook giggles after he asks his question. Afriel's attention is momentarily captured by the sight of his half closed eyes and dainty hand over his mouth, but she clears her throat and wills herself to look like she was annoyed.
"You knew I was going to say 'no favourite colour'! But for your information, I'll pull a Bella Swan on you. My favourite colour changes according to my mood, or like, everyday," She pauses, looks around at the well cut grass around them and at the oak trees at a distance standing tall and proud, and continues, "Today it's green... I think."
"It was a trial question actually, I still have my twenty questions left to ask about you,"
"and green is a pretty colour, hmm... but the real question here is, are you a Twilight fan? "
"What? You used up your first question okay? I'll be taking this as your second question," Jungkook is shaking his head firmly, putting up an index finger to say that it's still his first. Afriel ignores and goes on answering.
"Well no, I'm not a Twilight fan. I simply read the series because someone made a presentation back in highschool about how the book may be taken as a romance story when taken in the normal pace, but will turn into a how-i-left-my-stalker-ex boyfriend book if read backwards."
"Woah, and I thought I was the only one. My sister used to be crazy about it when she first read it. She used to rave about it to me, but like, a year later, she started calling it stupid and started making memes on that Edward Cullen guy. Although I have to say this, Charlie was the best character,"
"Dude I know right?! He truly was so underrated I swear. That poor guy deserved some award to have to put up with Bella's antics. Now my turn, tell me your hobbies."
