He's not a bad person!

(Y/n Pov)

I walked to the kitchen with Ash following me. I wanted to get a drink before we left. We walked in and I saw mom standing by the counter, cutting vegetables. I quickly pushed Ash behind me, not wanting my mom to see him. Dad may of not had a problem with him, but mom might.

She looked at me and stopped cutting vegetables. "Hi Y/n. Maddy told me you brought a friend over" she said softly smiling. I nodded my head, "Yeah...I did". "Is it alright if I meet them?" she asked happily. I looked at Ash and he nodded. I moved to the side so that way my mom could see him.

"Mom, this is Ash". I looked at her and her smile had vanished. There was now a irritated look on her face. "Your the kid Nate told me about" she said. "What?" I exclaim. She looked at me, "He's the drug dealer and low life that Nate told me about!". She pointed at Ash, "Look! He has the face tattoos and everything!".

"Mom!" I exclaimed. I push Ash out of the kitchen and into the hallway. I look at him and grab his hand, "I am so sorry that she said that. I'm gonna try and fix this, okay? You can wait in my room until I come and get you". "Okay" he whispered. I kiss his head and watch him go into my room.

"Y/N M/N PEREZ! GET BACK HERE!" I heard mom yell. I sigh and go back to where ever she is.

(Ashtray Pov)

I sat on Y/n's bed, thinking about what just happened. Am I really that bad for Y/n? I heard someone knock on the door and walk in. It was Maddy. She sat on the bed next to me. "You alright?". "Yeah" I answered.

She sighed. "I didn't mean for this to happen. I thought that since my dad didn't really care then my mom wouldn't either". "You good. I would've done the same thing if I were you". She softly smiled. "Whatever happens, I'll make sure that you and Y/n will still be together. Okay?".

I hummed. "Okay". I heard the yelling get louder and looked at the door. Maddy must've noticed too. "I should probably try to stop them or at least calm them down. You just stay in here" she said, getting up and walking out.

I groaned and laid down.

(Y/n Pov)

"Mom! He's too young to be dealer!"

"You don't know that!"

Tears started to form in my eyes. "Oh my god! Just because Nate told you something doesn't mean that it's real! He could be lying!". Mom sighed. "I don't want you hanging out with him! He looks like a bad example! And Nate would never lie to me!"

I scoff. "You don't know that! Ash isn't a bad person!". Maddy walked into the kitchen and spoke up. "You both need to calm down". She looked at mom. "Ash is a good person, and he has gone through some things. I know on the outside it may look like he's not a good example, but on the inside he is one of the best people I have known. So give him a chance and get to know him".

Mom sighed. "Fine. But you guys better be telling the truth". I look at Maddy and she looks back. I mouth thank you to her. She softly smiles and I walk away. I got to my room and see Ash laying on my bed.

"Hey" I say. He looks at me and sits up, "Hey". "You wanna go to the store now?" I reply. He nods his head, "Let's go". I smile at him and he smiles back. He gets up and grabs my hand and we walk out the house and to the store.
