The club was loud and the drinks were shitty. Couldn't someone just pass me a joint instead of having to gag down this rum and coke?
I'd lost Gina long time ago, she'd begged me to get out on the dance floor with her, but to be honest, I really didn't want to be pressed against a bunch of sweaty bodies grinding on each other.
I also couldn't shake the guilt that I'd felt for accusing her earlier.
My behavior was no doubt linked to the countless days she's been busy with her company. Obviously it was just the distance and her working so hard on her dream that's been getting to my head. Though I absolutely hate that. Why couldn't I be happy for her?
Now, I'm in this club, my skin multicolored in the flashing lights, alone at the bar. I knew Gina deserved this night out, I think it's important to get out once and awhile, I just wished I was more into the scene.
I pulled out my phone after I'd finished my drink.
Adalyn : What're you up to?
The reply came nearly an instant later. It made me smile.
Clay : I'm at a friend's place, losing terribly at pool. You?
Adalyn : In a club, at the bar sipping on a terrible rum and coke.
Clay : No girlfriend?
Adalyn : Lost her awhile ago. She's into the dancing scene.
Clay : Bummer.
There was a tap on my shoulder, I spun around to be face-to-face with a woman, with hot pink short hair and a killer bull-ring in her nose. She offering me a gentle smile, but I can see in her eyes that she's more wild than anything.
"Hey," she gave me a little wave. "Can I buy you a drink?"
My mouth opened, then closed. "Well, sure. I guess. I'm not looking for anything, though. I have a girlfriend. She's here...somewhere."
I suddenly felt very self conscious. How silly was I, sitting at a bar moping alone when my girlfriend was out on the dance floor, probably looking as sexy as usual, dancing without me, who was avoiding all of the groping and grinding that would be involved.
"I'm sure you do," the woman replied. "I just think you deserve a drink. I can't help but notice how beautiful you are."
I laughed. "Can I request a water?"
"Not big on the alcohol scene, huh?" She leaned on the bar and had her head facing me, offering a cheeky smile.
"No, not really." I shrugged sheepishly.
"Assuming we are on the same topic here...if you want I could roll you a joint in the bathroom?" She offered curiously, then she opened her bag and showed me the proof.
I grinned and hopped off my seat. "Fuck. I would love a joint right now."

Gina found me in the bathroom about half an hour later. She was giggling and throwing herself on me, though I didn't mind. I couldn't stop grinning from ear to ear.
The joint was strong and rolled well, it hit in all the right places. The mystery girl left shortly after I thanked her greatly for making my night a hell of a lot better.
The bathroom was dim, sticky and sort of smokey. Gina and I were the only ones in there, I was sitting on the counter, with not even a quarter of my joint left. Gina was so drunk she had even took a drag, looking effortlessly sexy as she exhaled, the smoke blowing in my face.
"We should do this more," she slurred, giving me a goofy grin.
I smirked at her. "Maybe. I'm still not fond of the drinking scene."
I finished off the portion that I had wanted from the joint and dropped whatever was left of it in the sink, then exhaled, letting the smoke blow into the air. I caught Gina's eye and pushed my hair away from my face, giving her a smile.
The music was booming outside of the bathroom, my vision was blurry but I felt way better than I had before. Gina looked more fantastic than I'd remembered, even with her eyes wild and her hair a mess.
She pushed herself off of the wall she was leaning on and she wrapped her arms around my shoulders, pulling herself closer to me. She looked almost as if she had something to say, but yet she didn't.
Instead, she leaned forward and pressed her lips against mine in a rushed motion. She moved fast, quickly slipping her hands into my hair, pulling me as close as she could get me. Her lips traveled from mine, to my exposed collarbone, to making love bites on my neck that I knew I'd have to struggle to cover up tomorrow.
My hands roamed her body, from her chest to her arms to her back, grasping and grabbing and pulling her as close as I could possibly get her.
Gina was wonderful, she was intoxicating and fun, she was so full of light and endlessly attractive in so many ways. Her body was gorgeous and I couldn't get over how she blew me away every time.
I snapped back to reality as she kissed up my neck and my jaw, then bringing her lips close to my ear she whispered something about us getting out of this club and the next thing I knew she was pulling me into the cab and slamming the door behind us.

I turned over to her and she was asleep.
My head had begun pounding now, like it always does after a few drinks out at the club. The room was dark though, thankfully.
After we had come home, we spent probably an hour locked up and tangled in each other's arms. It was amazing, but I couldn't help but feel it was rushed and Gina was searching for something, something that I didn't have.
I heard a small vibration and I glanced over to Gina's phone. It was ringing...at whatever time it was this morning. I was quick to reach around in the covers and find her phone and I flipped it over to find a number I didn't recognize.
Assuming it was work, I picked it up in a haste to assure that she didn't miss anything, or maybe she'd need to go in for an emergency at work. I put the phone to my ear.
A woman's voice dripped through the speaker; "Gina, baby? Come over, I need you."
