Chris slowly opened his eyes to the morning light that shined throughout his bedroom. He then sat up and stretched his arms, while he yawned. Chris rubbed his eyelids, and turned his head to look at the clock, as it read, "9:28 AM."
Chris flipped the edge of his blanket, got up from his bed, and walked out of his room and into the kitchen.
As Chris approached the kitchen, he noticed Peter sitting down, looking out the window, with a mug of coffee in his hand. He stopped himself, and then walked over slowly, as he stared at Peter for a couple of seconds, and said, "Good morning, Peter." Chris gave Peter a little smile.
Peter turned his head, looked over at Chris, and replied, "Oh, good morning, Chris." Peter then took a sip of his coffee, and then asked, "How are you doing this morning?"
"I'm doing okay." Chris responded, as he pulled a chair and sat down next to Peter. "And yourself?"
"I'm..." Peter paused, as he darted his eyes to the side. "I'm doing okay, I guess. I'm just glad to finally see your apartment and be in it." Peter smiled shyly.
Chris looked over to the mug in Peter's hand, and stated, "I see you got your morning coffee."
Peter looked down at the mug in his hand. "Yeah, I figured I wanted something to wake me up for the day." Peter replied, as he gestured his head toward Chris' coffee maker and added, "Your coffee machine is the same one I have back at my apartment. It was pretty easy to use, so I decided to get myself one."
Chris turned his head, and darted his eyes at his coffee maker, as he nodded. "I see." Chris said, then he turned his head back at Peter, and asked, "How many hours did you even sleep last night?"
"I got like, 3 hours tops, maybe?" Peter responded, as he rubbed his forehead.
"Damn, dude." Chris replied in a surprised time. "You're really gonna need some rest after this whole day."
Peter sipped on his coffee, and said, "I mean... I can handle it." Peter shrugged his shoulders. "I've been sleep deprived for a week before, so this doesn't really bother me."
Chris then nodded, and looked over to the side. "You're so wild. I can't even do that." Peter took another sip, while Chris perked up, and added, "By the way, I really need to talk to you about something."
"What is it?" Peter asked, as he put the mug down on the table.
"Well, for one thing... you came into my room without my consent." Chris declared. "And not just last night, mind you, but the night before where we went camping, and you opened my tent in the middle of the night when I was sleeping."
Peter looked at Chris with a small shock, as his eyes perked up with concern. "But I... I-I just thought you wanted some company." Peter said.
"Okay, but did I ask?" Chris asked sternly.
Peter gazed his eyes onto the ground, while he placed his hand on his arm, and responded, "N-No. You didn't ask."
Chris nodded, and replied, "That's right." Chris then leaned back in his chair, and added, "So from now on, if you see me sleeping, in the bathroom, or if I'm doing something in my own private time, you leave me alone. You got that?"
"Y-Yeah... I... I'm so sorry. I promise I won't do that again." Peter replied, as he looked down with a shameful look.
"Alright." Chris responded, as he gave out a little breath. "So that settles it." Chris then got up from his chair, walked over to Peter, held his hand, and sternly said, "I still love you, Peter, okay? But I'm gonna have to set some serious boundaries from now on."
