Town of Palt

A town with over two thousand residents. There's aren't worth mentioning on this small town other than the European vibes it had.

There's a wall surrounding it, but not as extravagant as the Burduex, there's only 4 meters tall cobblestone walls to fend off small monsters, or small time thieves from invading the humble town.

When we entered, there's only few people welcomed us, the roads was scarcely populated. The people was closing their windows? What the hell happening?

"Umm Krim? Don't you think it's weird?." (Liam)

"On what way?." (Krim)

"With the vibes they emits, the folks here is scared on us?." (Liam)

She looked at me surprised.

"Can't you see there's hella a lot of mercenary y'see."(Krim)

"What?." (Liam)

"Unlike the adventurers, the mercenary tend to be a little violent." (Krim)

I'm speechless, Just how damn barbaric and uncivilized the mercenaries here? I'm even getting dragged on their shitty doings.

"Hahaha, sure thing, you're one of the most reasonable mercenaries I know up until now." (Krim)

We walked around the town, it's pitifully small, some of the dwellings are stacked up randomly, this town is obviously lacks any town planning.

"Why so looking curious? First time in the countryside?." (Krim)

"Yeah, my first time." (Liam)

First time in another world countryside. A medieval theme European town on top of that.

"Do you plan to rent a inn here?." (Krim)

"Yeah, we're only going to stay for a night, so it won't hurt my pocket if it's only for a night." (Liam)

Additionally, so I could have a space to maneuver and change my equipment with privacy. I need to deploy some drones to scan this suspicious place. It's too quite, it's disturbingly quite.

"I'm going over there, how about you?." (Liam)

"Nah, I prefer to stay outside, so be careful not to falling on those kind of trap." (Krim)

I instantly draw my attention on the trap, Krim telling me.

"Don't be felt assured just because you're in a relatively safe roof, or worst in the morning you'll have a naked woman in your side." (Krim)

Honey trap was it? I don't think an android have a sense of lust nor I need to sleep.

"Fret not, I'm not that kind of person who will easily fall on those kind of trap." (Liam)

"Oh? Is that so gullible B rank?." (Krim)

We parted with Krim, and right before me, a fairly decent looking rental apartment on Palt, it's not fancy, but better than nothing.

When I entered the inn, there's only a few people staying there.

"Welcome." (?)

A young teenager welcomed me, he seemed cleaning the mess on the tables, there some kind of visible damage in the place? Is there some fight happened recently here?
