Above the pitiful Ancient Dragon King and the silver dragon from that fateful day, my warships powered up, firing at maximum output. They crackled with energy as static electromagnetic pulses ran through their turrets and spinal-mounted main guns. Several orbital platforms repositioned from high above, preparing to fire. Fighters and drones buzzed around the sky, ensuring no escape and supplementing the firepower about to be unleashed on these lizards.

A voice broke through the tension. "That's the youngest daughter of the Ancient Dragon King. Probably born a few thousand years ago."

"She's a girl?" I asked, slightly taken aback. Come to think of it, she's actually sounding like a girl. Oh...

"Yes, obviously. Are you hesitating because she's a girl?" Noel queried, her tone curious. Was she serious? Did she forget how we met?

"You're kidding, right?" I said, then turned my gaze down to the two lizards. "Why would I be hesitating?"

"A woman," Noel hummed as she curiously looked at the two dragons below us. "A gentleman wouldn't harm them, right? By moral standards of men?"

"Me, a gentleman? Funny," I retorted. "I don't have that problem."

Without uttering a word, I connected through my core via data link, and orders resounded across the wide area network. My fleet, my orbital firing platforms, and my drones and fighters opened fire.

Massive pillars of light descended from the particle cannons of the orbital platforms, piercing through the clouds and slamming into the lizards almost instantaneously. Spinal-mounted main guns and turreted secondary cannons fired in fury. Countless missiles launched from vertical launch systems like an endless swarm of bees disturbed from their hive. Laser turrets streamed countless crimson and blue bolts of light, streaking through the air. Plasma cannons fired dozens to hundreds of high-output plasma projectiles. Fighters and drones fired cannons, missiles, and rockets, pouring down unimaginable firepower on these pitiful beings.

The resulting explosion was magnificent, earth-shattering, and world-quaking. My seismic scanners reported a magnitude 9 earthquake within a 100-kilometer range. Fortunately, the sea was far enough away to avoid causing a tsunami, unlike what happened last time—hopefully.

As the smoke and debris settled, I surveyed the aftermath. The ground where the dragons had stood was now a smoldering crater. The Ancient Dragon King and his daughter were nowhere to be seen, obliterated by the overwhelming firepower.

"Well, that's done," I said, a hint of satisfaction in my voice.

Noel glanced at me, her expression unreadable. "You really don't hesitate, do you?"

"Eh," I shrugged. They picked a fight with me. Seeing my expression, Noel sighed.

"I don't know," she said, shaking her head as she sat down and resumed playing her game.

"What?" I asked, unable to understand what she was getting at.

"Maybe you're being dumber and wiser at the same time?" she mused, her interest in the conversation waning.

"I wonder about that too." I admitted. "Sometimes I'm dumb, sometimes I'm very smart — I feel only. I ought to reflect on myself."

Noel didn't respond, too engrossed in her game to continue the conversation. As I watched her, I couldn't help but ponder her words.

"Ah," Noel's voice broke through my thoughts. "You mortal," she said. That means it's Alumina. "With the Ancient Dragon being put out of commission, you can go to that lab. There shouldn't be any guardian there."
