Mastering the newly learned 'mist' proved helpful in such situations as fooling the fat lady with a simple snap of her fingers. After clambering into the common room Asteria dragged herself into her empty dorm and gave way instantly to her warm bed.
At last waking she found herself eighteen minutes late to the arranged meeting with Delphi Trelawney. Quickly changing into fresh robes, she dashed to the grounds and felt the first chill of winter hit her, but paying it no mind, Asteria qucikly tracked down the Ravenclaw cross-legged under the shade of a beech tree, whilst conversing with three Gryffindor boys.
She found it strange to see them lacking the presence of Remus ,but then again Asteria often marveled at how such a mature, peaceful boy could befriend the arrogant and boisterous James Potter and Sirius Black, who were always stalked by timid , little Peter.
When Asteria approached Delphi faced her with a look that said 'finally' and 'Where the hell were you?'.
'Hi, Asteria' Peter squeaked.
'Good morning Peter,' Asteria replied. 'Say ,where is Remus?'
'Your dear boy-who's-a-friend' Sirius said teasingly 'Is out visiting his sick mother on short notice'
'I fear that means you three will more unbearable than before?' Asteria mocked
'Of course' James said ruffling his already windswept hair. 'Try not to swoon too much at our charming antics' .
Asteria rolled her eyes and sat down besides Delphi as the three went off to conquer more mischief.
When they were sure they were quite alone, in that particulary desolate place, Delphi had spent much time picking Asteria started-
'What do you want to know?'
'Everything from the start, the monster,Dora, the dagger' she suggested to the blade Asteria had unknowingly still had tucked in her pocket.
Asteria took a breath and began to retell her tale. Her father's disappearance, her finding out about Hecate (she was convinced Delphi would laugh ,but prehaps a ginormous hellhound and cyclops were enough to convince the Ravenclaw),and literally everything she had been carrrying on her shoulders for the past months.
Then it was Delphi's turn and after Asteria's confession she found it easy to talk about the dreams, and her visions. As time passed they found it easier to talk and talk.
'So what do you think the war is about?' Delphi blurted, having held the question for so long.
'I think, maybe it's against You-Know-Who' Asteria speculated 'We heard Dumbledore talking about it last night'
All and all, when the sun was sinking the two had become quite good friends and left together for dinner.
While returning to the great hall, a nervous thought had settled in absence of the shock, more was to come, and what if she could not face it?But her thought were interrupted eruptly by her roommates.
'Care to explain, where the hell you were?'Lily inquired.
'I feel asleep in the library' Asteria came up.
'Well, you've had us more than scared' Dorcas said reading over the daily prophet 'Especially with the Firefly's kidnapping'
'The Firefly's what?' Asteria exclaimed taking a seat.
'Here , Indigo's older sister disspeard last night' Alice explained as Dorcas handed her the page.
A girl about in her twenties blinked at Asteria, she shared the same amber eyes and upturned nose as Indigo, but had straighter raven tresses.
The Headlines flashed: Firefly's dissaperance, shall her blood stains dark as the dark lord?
'Well, no wonder she's upset' Mary said indigantly 'That Skeeter hasn't much tact does she?'
The disappearance of auror ,Thea Firefly has sparked more concern for the rising gang of dark wizards known only as the Death Eater under the rule of You-Know-Who, who has already been known to infiltrate the department of mysteries as well as having killed notable Wizagamount member, Stewart Ling, (see pages eleven to thirteen)
Asteria handed the Daily Prophet back to Dorcas, she felt sick and knew the war Dora had meant, was a dangerous one against Lord Voldemort.
