Her painted nails had dug into Asteria back as the girl had steered her aboard the train from Glasgow to London .The stranger was breathtakingly beautiful though out of the corner of her eyes, Asteria could have sworn her auburn locks flicked into another form, one like dancing flames .First, Asteria had put up a fight, but her mind was strangely hypnotised by the girl's honeyed words, telling her to stay silent and everything was going to be alright.

After her mind had cleared the cloud of faintness had passed and every sense flooded back to her from the musty odour to the biting cold, as she was lead to a small bed ,where her feet had to be cramped to fit under the thin, stained piece of blanket. Her head had hit the lumpy pillow ,and she fell asleep ,waking to the sudden realisation that ,her life had taken a dark turn ,she was alone and helpless in a world full of hate.

Asteria had learned how to look out for herself, never get attached to any luxuries especially friends and never by any means back down from something she believed unjust even if it meant a whipping. Now at Hogwarts, the serenity she had missed for four years came back to her as she was safe within the walls. Yet that night, all the alert senses, and edge of risk was at work again. Asteria silent but swiftly perked her ears for Mrs Norris's paws while heading for the Hogwarts library.

Once inside the library she cast Lumos and searched for the spot where the old Daily Prophets were kept.Picking up that they were arranged in alphabetical order, for purposes of putting them back without arousing suspicion from the eagle eyed librarian, Madam Pince, Asteria hastily pulled out the editions near four years ago and around that time. Scrolling through them ,she found her dad's disappearance had not been mentioned once, nor her.

The Foxgloves had disappeared, hours and hours later, she finally saw a name, from scrolling through about the whole lot.It was a picture of her parents, when they were newly wed her dad looked younger and without grey hairs ,while her mom shared Asteria's eyes. Her mother wore a chiton like dress with a veil thrown over her blonde wavy locks. Under the wandlight, the beaming couple waved at her and she found herself fixed on their smiles, before finally realising that her mother's face was somewhat familiar. In a spark of realisation she dug into her cloak's pocket. The only thing her dad had handed her before vanishing, a pocket sized book with a guide to Greek deities scrawled on the leather cover.

Each god and goddess had hand drawn illustrations and her suspicions were confirmed when the drawing of Hecate the goddess of magic wore the same radiant smile and face of her mother.
