•"Step aside.."
Jungkook muttered as he kicked the wooden door making it burst open into a very loud thud.
The fire had settled down a bit and the only worry that was prevailing in the air was their rescue. They had to get it done, no matter what.
"Sure takes a lot of time for your people to save someone.."
The tone that Roseanne had used— was completely filled with anger. It was not the same fragile woman that Jungkook had seen before, her personality this time was totally changed and her eyes were dead.
Roseanne didn't like the fact that Jungkook had to see her vulnerability.
Not expecting an answer, The North Korean agent scoffed as she rolled her eyes, ignoring the guilt that was flashed over his face. He couldn't say much to her statement— for he knew that agent Park Roseanne was not wrong at all.
"We were taught to despise each other ever since we were born.. Jungkook. But it doesn't mean we are not human.. we feel for people too.."
His eyes gazed everywhere but her, not being sure if he should just apologize or just stay silent.
It was true that they were taught to despise their neighboring country. Starting from their homes and traveling to their schools, each young minds were openly taunted to fight each other from a very early stage.
There used to be a lot of cartoon characters with all of the North Korean people portraying as the villains. Their mentality created a thing that all the North Koreans were just as evil as the characters that played in the cartoons.
They were all divided by hate. And the hate consumed all of the kindness— that they could have ever seen in one another.
But even with all of the differences, agent Park Roseanne chose to see the kindness in her foes, while agent Jeon Jungkook didn't.
"I am sorry," Jungkook uttered.
If a simple sorry could literally resolve everything in this world, why would there be a need for the hell to exist?
If only Roseanne had known any better, she might have chosen her words in a different way. She just looked away from his eyes, not even acknowledging his presence right next to her.
"Bora-ah!!"
Roseanne couldn't blame him for his sorries either— because she knew for a fact that a lot of sorries were yet to come in the near future.
She just hurriedly rushed inside the room— hoping to capture the view of the missing girl.
Leaving behind Jungkook, agent Park Roseanne walked inside as the sight of the health room literally added to her fears. The room which was supposed to heal the people looked as if it was a horrifying cemetery.
"Bora-ah.. Bor—oh my gosh!?" Jeon Jungkook who was near the entrance of the health room quickly walked in as soon as he heard a loud gasp from the room.
The scene before him shattered his heart into millions of pieces.
"No.... no no," Hastily checking the pulse of the little girl, Roseanne's eyes grew wide in panic. The little body that was dejectedly lying onto the floor remained completely unmoved. The entire scenario reminisced each of the agents concealed past.
"Jungkook-k .. Bora she....." Roseanne's voice stuttered as she looked up to the South Korean agent. "She-e is not breathing,"
"She is not breathing.. Jungkook-ah," The middle aged woman immensely cried while tightly hugging the little girl into her shaking arms. "Jungkook-kk your sister is not breathing.."
