"how did you like the food?" you asked charlie as you walked hand in hand with him out of your favourite thai restaurant you planned on taking him for your third date.
smiling from ear to ear, charlie looked at you with a lovestruck look that made your stomach fill up with butterflies.
"it was really good. i'm glad you took me here" he said sighing when he saw you smile.
"god you look gorgeous" he said aloud, making you hide your face with your hair as you dipped your head down.
"you're such a flirt" you told him with a laugh, moving closer to him as you continued to walk down the street.
"only for you" he said softly, making your heart swoon at his words.
looking up at him again, you took in his beauty before seeing droplets of water develop on his face.
"oh shit—"
the sky started to rain hard, making you & charlie huddle under the roof of a near by cafe, already pretty damp as you made your way inside.
"you okay love?" he asked when you both sat down in a small booth, away from most of the people that were there.
"i'm okay" you told him with a soft smile, kissing his cheek before nuzzling closer into his side, your face resting on his chest.
soft music played in the background of the cafe, making you feel more & more relaxed as charlie's hand run up & down your thigh while you turned your body into his side.
"i hope the rain didn't ruin our moment" charlie said to you, making you look up at him.
"don't worry, it didn't" you assured, reaching a hand up to scratch his facial stubble a bit, making him smile deeply at the feeling.
"is it okay that i want to kiss you?" he asked, making you give him a double take.
"really? y-you wanna kiss me?" you asked shocked, making charlie dip his head down to be closer to you.
"yes" he responded, making you shyly smile at him.
"okay" you said, reaching up a bit as he dipped his head lower, sighing once his lips reached yours.
the kiss was slow, tender & loving— it made you feel like your body was buzzing. his lips on yours was something you knew you weren't going to be able to get enough of.
"i really like you" he whispered once he pulled away to catch a breath, holding your damp clothed body close to his.
"i really like you too"
