"you look like you're on the brink of death charlie" you immediately said to him when he entered the backseat of the car, rubbing his eyes while yawning.

dawned in a sweatshirt & sweatpants to match, charlie looked at you with a sleepy smile & leaned his face towards yours, kissing your cheek before falling into your lap, making you laugh at his behaviour.

"rough day at set hmmm? tired?" you questioned him with a playful smile, running your hands through his messy hair, making charlie shut his eyes in contentment.

"i just want to sleep with you" he mumbled as your fingers scratched his scalp just right as the car began to move, making him cozy into your lap more.

"you don't look like your alert enough for that babe" you joked, smiling when you saw his cheeks turn red.

he was too tired to see the possible meaning behind his words.

"shut up" charlie said jokingly, hiding his face with his hands.

it was 10pm at night & bright on the streets of new york city, lights from all direction somehow made their way to shine onto charlie. yellows, reds, blues, greens— any colour you could think of shined into the car windows.

"you look pretty love" he said once he pulled his hands away from his face, one hand resting on one of yours while the other was lifted in the air, tracing your jawline to admire your looks.

"thank you handsome" you replied, grabbing his hand to kiss it.

"i miss you today" he smiled at you, continuing on to gush about all the fight scenes he had to do & how you would've loved to see him film them.

"... then i had to be clipped to wires so i could climb the fire escape rails so i could— what're you looking at me like that for?" charlie stopped with a suspicious grin, seeing how lovestruck you looked.

"just love you, that's all"
