The night is silent
except from the ringing in my ears
Screeching, screaming,
stifling me.
It's a dark night tonight.
There is no moonlight,
there is no sound,
yet everything inside of me
is pounding.
Am I awake,
or asleep?
Or am I somewhere
in-between?
