The sun was still shining behind the mountains that Elijah could see across the ocean when she woke up early. She left Aunt Mihara asleep in their cabin. She wanted to see the sunrise. Wondering what a new day would bring?
Though hills and mountains were almost the same she knew they were sailing back. She let out a sigh of regret. Later in the afternoon, they will dock. And what now? Will that be the end between her and Jasmine?
If she could make a wish, just one wish, she would stop time. Freeze that and let her stay there with Jasmine. She looked up at the still-dark sky.
Stars hang suspended above a floating yellow moon... Then came the sunrise fading the moon and stars from sight recalling always our wonderland by night...
She smiled sadly. I wish the circumstances of her meeting with Jasmine would have been different. I wish she was just her neighbor... I wish she had met me at work... I wish... I wish...
Jasmine watched her silently. When Elijah climbed on the deck a couple of minutes ago, she didn't even notice that she was just in the dark, behind the pole on which the staysail was attached. She would have wanted to let her know that she was there if not for her desire to quietly observe her.
Her senses were full of her. She could see the gentle caress of the wind in her hair, she saw the tendril curls behind her nape. And the wind seemed to carry Elijah's scent toward her. She smelled of rose water and of powder, and a more verdant scent that was uniquely her own.
And she still wore her jacket. She groaned inwardly, wishing she were in that jacket. She moved without any sound and walked towards her. Elijah looked away when she felt Jasmine's presence.
Jasmine!
Jasmine didn't answer. Instead, she placed her forefinger under her chin and lifted it. Elijah drew in a soft gasp as Jasmine gazed into her eyes passionately.
Hope. She spoke her name and it sounded sweeter than music.
Then Jasmine's arms went around her. And with a swift motion, Jasmine put her mouth over hers. At this speed, Elijah was not allowed to protest. If she wanted to protest. She revealed the feel of her on her lips, her sweet breath around her, and her warmth stealing into her bones.
She could feel her nipples had tightened, pressing against the soft fiber of her cotton blouse. Then her tongue touched her and the kiss between them took on a life of its own.
Their mouths meshed together perfectly. Elijah's kiss was chaste, but there was a seductive quality to it. Jasmine moaned. And a need, it was different from the others, welled up inside of her for more... and more... and more.
Every fiber of Jasmine's being urged her to lift her in her arms, rip her blouse off, unsnap her pants and bury herself deep inside her. Her hand moved to her breast and cupped it.
Elijah moaned deliciously. She was lost and would have given her more, if not for the sudden shaking of the yacht that brought back Elijah's sane mind.
Their lips broke contact. She pulled away, Jasmine intelligently released the maiden.
Elijah leaned against the railing. While Jasmine remained staring at her. Her heart was racing. Dear lord, but she had never felt desire of that force. Elijah felt her lips, which were already slightly swollen from Jasmine's kiss.
You drove me wild... Jasmine whispered.
W-why are we doing this, Jasmine? She was confused. Even Vincent during the six months they were in a relationship did not give him this opportunity to kiss him... in this way.
Do you mean kissing? We've been doing it since you first came aboard. And every time we kissed, I lost control. She stepped closer to Elijah again until there was only a handful between them. Can't you feel that there's something between us, Hope?
