Dierdra Summers grasped tightly onto the boat as the waves rocked her back and forth. Her fellow crew mates, Jacob Christine & Sasha Belle held tightly to the boat as well. Their captive had fallen into the water and drowned due to the currents. However, Jacob managed to hold onto the boat with all of his might and rescued Dierdra & Sasha from the dark fate that they would have met. Unfortunately, a few of the other staff members weren't so lucky.
They had heard the explosion when the ship exploded. The smoke had poured in the sky, painting the sky a charcoal color. Their current goal was to get to civilization and get help. At first, they tried to get the boat back towards the ship but their efforts were worthless when they realized it was nearly impossible to fight the current.
The three of them had managed to turn the boat back over in order to get inside the boat. It was a good thing they did, because they wouldn't have survived the stormy waters. They took turns rowing, while one would sleep. They did this over and over again in shifts. Finally, the storm had calmed down, and so did the waters.
Dierdra looked around at her surroundings. The current mission at hand seemed utterly impossible, considering there was no sign of civilization anywhere. They had absolutely no resources, and they wouldn't survive long if they didn't find any soon. The resources that they did have had been washed away by the current.
Dierdra & Jacob sat rowing the boat while Sasha rested. Dierdra's arms were absolutely exhausted from the constant rowing of the boat. "Can we take a break soon? The waves have calmed down so I don't think we'll lose control of the boat." Dierdra said. "Sure." Jacob said. They both set their oars inside the boat. Jacob stretched, popping his back and fingers. Dierdra's body was wracked with exhaustion. She looked over at Sasha. She couldn't wait until it was her turn to sleep.
"Thank you once again for saving us." Dierdra said to Jacob. "If it weren't for you, we would be dead right now." "No problem." Jacob said. Jacob had dark skin with black hair. Even when we're stranded in the middle of nowhere, he's still super attractive." Dierdra thought to herself. She then scolded herself for thinking about her crush on Jacob during this tense situation.
"How long do you think it'll be until we reach civilization?" Dierdra asked. "I have no idea, which is why we have to keep rowing as much as possible." Jacob replied. Dierdra popped her fingers and stretched one last time before picking her oar back up. "Okay, let's get back to it then." She said, a determined look on her face.
